I think @CarthusDojo did a very good job at making the case that Bulma is the most important character in DragonBall. She's the reason Goku left the forest, Yamcha stopped being a bandit, Frieza was defeated, Vegeta became a hero, Goku didn't die to the heart virus, and Beerus kept a close relationship with Earth. She in many subtle ways made Goku the hero he is today, and supported him on his path, as well as her husband on his own path.

Burma and Chichi are definitely contenders for the spot of the best female character due to their relevance in the story. You could even make an argument for Gine being the best female character simply because she is the mother of Goku and played her own role in Goku being sent to Earth.

In my opinion chichi is underrated and overhated as if you understand in a real world aspect she just wants a normal functioning family With goku being their as a loyal husband and father And her kids to study so they can become successful She just wants the best for her family

I hope Marron can take her place among them soon. I consider Marron to be in a unique spot in all of fiction… Squib in Muggle school. The closest I have seen to that is Mirabel Madrigal from Encanto. Except she didn’t have to keep secrets. Krillin and 18 are two of the cleverest (common sense, not book smarts) characters in the show. I think she’ll know exactly what to say to motivate someone, and what not to say so as not to worry people.
