This man is a national treasure. I took a seminar from him in Chicago many years ago and have never forgotten his dedication, enthusiasm and depth of knowledge.

Today is my 15th day. It was a tough one but i got through it. In bed now and didnt take one puff, though i was close to it. Finishing my night before bed watching a few of joels vids to strengthen my resolve. I feel proud and happy about today.

This guy's videos, WhyQuit, the forums and his articles inspired me to quit without NRT or meds and have supported me in staying abstinent and Joel is absolutely right in everything he says. It's been a year since I quit, after 20 years of smoking, and i check in with his site once every 2 or 3 of months and watch a video to reinforce. I love this guy and the generosity of all those who contribute to the site- it really saved my life . Thank you Joel.

I ran out of cigarettes on Monday 5/26/03(a holiday) and found whyquit.org the next morning. I'm approaching my 8th anniversary now and owe it to the knowledge I got from Joel. Never Take Another Puff!

I quit a month and half ago after hitting 65 and being a 50-year smoker. Because of this site, I learned how nicotine addiction works and why it's essential to quit cold turkey. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this site and all the useful info provided by Joel and John. You guys saved me from getting COPD like my Dad and Granddad. I now feel equipped to resist the inevitable urges to smoke.. Thanks so much. Chuck

Thank you Joel,  Been watching your videos since the beginning of my quit. Proud to be at this video now. It feels like I don't have chains around me anymore. Your videos have been a huge asset and most likely without them I would not have made it.

I was searching for a week 3 video but I guess there isn't one so I am just going into the rest of my life. lol.   week 3 was yesterday.  I feel a lot better as far and constant thoughts and cravings.  However I seem to be holding onto this off and on tightness in my lungs.  a little coughing but not coughing anything up.  Its a little worrisome.  None of the times I have quit in the past have I dealt with this.  Maybe its age this time.  Ill give it time before I get too worried.  For those of you who have made it this far all I can say is Never never ever touch a cigarette again.  I quit for 13 years after 20 yrs smoking back in 99.  I started up again 3 1/2 years ago for no real reason I don't think.  Well I think it's because for a couple years I was letting myself have one here and there thinking it was no problem.  It obviously was a problem and led to starting full time again.  Had I just not had those few here and there I think I would have been fine.  It's not like I was having bad cravings or anything.  Quitting this time was as hard or harder than ever.  I have tried many times the last few years to quit again.  I never want to do this again.  Good luck to everyone and stay with it.  Stay committed to never touching one again.  Thanks again Joel for these videos.  They are a tremendous help.  :)   Dawn

Joel cheers mate - you were so much of a guide. 2 weeks now - craved 25 times as per my app - QuitFree. In the past month I have lost 2 friends that died of smoking related causes. I did not know that until I was 10 days into the quit cycle. Thanks again I have a feeling you have extended my life. Incidentally I have referred these videos to friends and the have taken up the challenge. Thanks again.. To you and yours all the best
