  • Wow! You have whirlpools, standing waves, undertows, and other dangerous conditions. I bet if a dry log was thrown in, it would disappear quickly.

    I guess that even salmons look at the tide tables before swimming upstream…

    Wow, that is a high tidal flow... more than when I was there!
  • The term " Rapids" is somewhat confusing as this is really a tidal bore. True rapids are non tidal & occur in the upper reaches of fast flowing rivers & usually contain rocks & boulders & flow continuiously & many examples are much more severe than this.
