Seeing these comments is really bothering me is why I even bothered to scroll. (Some) Black women only support other black women when it’s beneficial for them. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but why be pressed over something that literally has zero effect on you? Why make someone feel bad about their decision that they made for themselves? Do what makes you happy and even if you want to return to natural in a few months or years then do that too, WHO CARES!

I’m not being hateful, but I am coming to you as a professionally licensed stylist and licensed cosmetology instructor...what you are experiencing with your hair is due to you doing it yourself at home. The application was incorrect from the beginning. The reason your ends are looking like they do is because the relaxer should have been placed on the ends and near the scalp last, the relaxer needed to be a mild and you left it in too long hence your hair being flat. Relaxers are meant to relax the curl pattern and make straightening easier. Unfortunately many people over process their hair by in fact relaxing it until it’s straight when wet. It should have texture when wet, even when relaxed. Also, your ends come from years of “dusting” not doing proper and professional trims. Curly hair actually hides flaws. This was one of them. Be mindful not to do too many protein treatments. It could actually have an adverse reaction. Try weekly rice water treatments instead. Also, moisturize, and I wouldn’t relax again for another 3-6 months.

I don’t see a problem with relaxing hair. If she likes it then let her do it. Some people might not feel pretty in their natural hair. I find my hair harder to deal with natural so I relax mine and i’m perfectly fine with it. It all depends on the person. No hate to girls with natural hair though because its beautiful. I just dont understand why people are hating on her for it.

Everyone is always so against relaxing hair me personally I am a natural sister but I can appreciate that being natural is not for everyone I must say your hair is very long and having straight hair fits you well much love

People act the same way with women who shave their hair off or cut it shorter. It's like God forbid a woman wears her hair how she wants it🙄 But it is heart warming to see that all the positive comments have drowned out the negative ones. I'm surprised all the negative people really care about something as meaningless as hairstyle anyways. Unless you have a disorder, your hair always grows. To be angry over hair is stupid.

It's your hair so do what you want. but of course people are going to say something if you have built a following around having natural hair for 4 years.

Congratulations, it looks amazing girl. You have a great start. Keep it deep conditioned weekly and moisturized throughout the week, monthly protein treatments. Ehh , not really shocked. I kinda started noticing many natural hair youtubers getting relaxers and that's cool do what you do. Honestly women shouldn't put natural hair youtubers on a high pedestal🙄
