My Dad, who is no longer here, met Ronnie James Dio in the '90s and to this day I have the photo they took together saved. My Dad would always tell me how down to earth Dio was and how kind he was. When my Dad saw him again in the early 2000s in concert after the show had ended, the first thing he asked my Dad was how's the wife and son doing? What was shocking to my Dad is how he remembered the names, but that's how he was with his fans. It was a person who basically treated you like family. Also, you can truly hear his vowels and you know they're clean with this song.

Ronnie was so kind to my son who is mostly deaf and had hearing aids on - Ronnie sought him out and interacted with him like a long lost family member. Sometimes it's just fine to meet your heroes.

Dio - don't talk to strangers is a must reaction. If you want more from his voice.

Ronnie Dio was a professional singer for over 50 years, and his voice never failed him.

I met Dio once in person, shook his hand, and talked to him face to face for maybe a minute, but it was so cool. I will never forget him and never stop listening to his music.

Ronnie James Dio goes way back. Metal was the last genre he explored.

Ronnie was the G.O.A.T. he wrote the best lyrics, was the best front man and singer. He could tell a great story with just a handful of words. He recorded in many genres over his 52 year recording career. I would have trouble naming my favorite 100 songs he wrote. He often harmonized to his own voice.

Thank you for being a genuine ACTUAL reaction channel, and not click bait of someone going “whoaaa!” at every video. It’s very entertaining and knowledgeable…accessible to those who may not be familiar with vocal technique. Love your enthusiasm and personality 🤙
  • I absolutely love that you’re so open to listening to an older genre of music and also a heavier sound and vocals. I had the pleasure of working for Ronnie. For a man of such a small stature, when you watched him on stage and sang, omg!! what a powerhouse of vocals!!! He was a very sweet and gracious man!! Miss you Ronnie!!
  • Dio's performance on Heaven and Hell(Black Sabbath 1980) so epic it rings true. Stellar rock vocalist.🎤 🎶 🎵 RonnirJames Dio 🤟💣 🔥

This is just part one of the holy trinity of solo Dio. Now ya have to do The Last in Line and Rainbow in the Dark. It's nearly impossible to quantify how influential Dio was. Even artists and bands that have never heard Dio are influenced by him, if indirectly. Truly a capital L Legend among legends.

The term Heavy Metal came from a newspaper reporter going to see Blacksabath's show, and he described their sound as "heavy metal being dragged across the floor." I believe that is what you are trying to describe at 3:32.
  • Ronnie is the man. I was lucky enough to go to this concert in the mid 80s (Holy Diver tour). My best friend and I. It was at the Fabulous Forum where the Lakers used to play. Great venue in Inglewood Cali. Wow. What a show that he and the band puts on!!! I saw him a few times. So thankful.

Children of the Sea (Live) from the album Live Evil Black Sabbath is the one to listen to if you want to hear his range, in fact the whole album will blow you away.

Ronnie was a friend of mine for 20+ years. He was a gem of a better human being.

I was a teenage metal head when this album come out , Ronnie became an instant legend to which all other metal singers were measured. I'm so glad you finally get to experience real metal , rock on 🤘.

Dio was one of a kind. It's mind blowing that he had verry little vocal training. One of the best vocal performances was the song Mistreated by Rainbow, the live version from 1977 in Munich.
