I just re watched the 07 film and one thing you gotta appreciate is how the (spoiler alert) "big deception attack on the city" is LITERALLY just brawl. Like, period. Starscream and Blackout have a scene and a half between them. And Barricade infamously vanishes for 3 whole movies. So the scene where Ironhide, Ratchet, Jazz, AND Bumblebee all tag-team Brawl is pretty hilarious in retrospect 'cause you know the other decepticons are just hanging out off-screen watching Brawl take all the punishment.

I find it rather ironic how much efort went into creating these exquisite designs and high end screen accurate figures of them only the characters to have like 2 min of screen time and then get killed.

I have the Studio Series one, and this is just a perfect improvement on that. The SS one is already pretty good, but with the MP engineering it has the complexity it needs to add everything the vehicle mode was missing while integrating the kibble far better into bot mode.

You can tell with every entry that the MPMs are getting better and better. These last three Decepticons really proved me wrong about MPMs not being worth it. I think Brawl is the crown jewel of the MPM line.

It also would be better if the studio series version did some of this transformation like with thr arms legs and body

Fun fact when jazz kicks his missile pod off as brawl transforms he cant get a good grip on jazz and reaches over with his right arm deploying his blades using the hook ends to dig into jazz and throw him away

This really goes to show how great the studio series is, when the masterpiece version is just an improved design iteration of it.

I'm glad you covered this, some other reviewers, whom I won't name because that's just mean, made the transformation seem way more complicated than it really is. I'm still hoping to get my hands on a copy for myself, it looks so damn good. Easily looks better than the other MPM figures imo

Brawl in the Michael Bay transformer movies, was probably my all time favorite transformer, but not the one from the devastator movie.

To be fair I don’t think they’ve missed the mark on the decepticon mpms. At least out of the ones I’ve got, recently picked up bonecrusher to go with blackout and I’m absolutely getting brawl with him being my favourite

Brawl has always been the least threatening deception he looks like that one chubby friend in your friend group who would not hurt a fly
