G.U.N. wanted a savior. Gerald Robotnik wanted a cure. Maria wanted a hero. Shadow just wanted a friend.

I love the idea that Shadow was once as happy and carefree as Sonic. This is so sweet.

I really like that the soldier that killed Maria seemed hesitant and nervous as he pointed the gun at her. In the Sonic X show, the solider was further expanded upon that he regretted killing her and was following orders. I'm glad he still shows this trait in this amazing fan film!

22:13 I just can't. The way this moment is crafted is nothing short of absolute perfection. You can FEEL the shattering of his soul through every element of the screen. We as the audience are fully immersed in that horrific moment of infinite dispar with Shadow and FORCED to understand the gravity of his eternal life forever changed. THIS is the kind of emotional, human connection missing from so many Hollywood movies today. Outstanding work.

this is probably one of the best Sonic fan projects I’ve seen so far

Man F*** all the people who mock Shadow for being an "edgelord", as someone who suffers from depression, regurgitated thoughts, and domestic abuse from my childhood, I find Shadow to be the most relatable Sonic character. How can you not feel for this poor soul who had to watch his only friend be murdered due to the government's fear of his very existence? He's even the only male Sonic character that we've seen to shed tears in the games iirc, ooooh how dark and edgy. Despite all of the BS he's been put through, he's learned to forgive and put the past behind him. Shadow the Hedgehog is such an AMAZING character and I look forward to seeing his story on the big screen next year!

Now THIS is how I want Shadow to be written, someone who use to be like Sonic but changed for the worse due to unfortunate circumstances

One thing this fan film even imoroves from the original story is you can see shadow was visibly happy. He smiles much more, his body language is fluid. He acts like a child at times. And his voice is softer. Makes everything so much sadder

You can tell they really put a lot of work behind making this great job everyone!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I'm hoping that the group responsible for this gets pulled on into the actual Sonic movie series and that they give them FULL creative freedom AND use this in it.

The storytelling, the voice acting, and oh the VISUALS! How come fan made short film projects like these are so much better than what most entertainment industries make these days!?

The part where Shadow grabs the gun from the soldier was so peak. I also like how Maria & Gerald told Shadow that it was wrong to kill the soldier too. It shows that the Gerald and Maria were the happiest parts in Shadow’s life and they were the ones who taught Shadow humility.

Something about seeing shadow be so cheerful and have a bright personality back on the ARK and who he becomes on earth just works too damn well

Maria saying “Sayonara, Shadow the Hedgehog” hit me right in the feels, ouch man.

Sonic Movie 3 may never be able to go this in depth with Shadow’s origin story. We can only hope that Sonic Movie 3 does Shadow justice. You guys did an amazing job!

It was an honor to have played Maria Robotnik in English and been a part of this production that is so full of love. Congrats to everyone involved (seriously y'all are so skilled at what you do aaaa I cannot say this enough) and thank you for letting me be a part of it!! Giving my love to everyone enjoying the film!! 💙

I'm so glad this was made, the movie's not gonna take a dark enough turn for shadow for the kids' sake. That story and mostly the ending really understandably justifies the level of hatred he has for humanity
