If you smoke everyday, try and stay a few days without it, and pay attention to the silence that finally comes back to your mind. Weed makes you go nuts and you don't even realize it. You can be the worst overthinker in the world, being without cannabis will make you calmer. You will actually experience what is around you, instead of being inside that cozy mist.

Best thing I ever did was quit smoking weed. I was an excessive, compulsive smoker for the better part of 15 years. I finally had enough and just quit. It will be a year on May 15th. Anyone can do it.

Tried quitting probably 5-6 times before it finally stuck. Hitting 19 months in 2 days! 🙌🏼
  • I’ve been smoking weed for 13 years now, everyday, to me it’s not just the smoking I’m addicted too, it’s rolling the joint, going outside and taking my time out to smoke it after a long shift and I’ve been in that routine for nearly 10 years now. I woke up today with a really motivated mind set to just not be in that routine anymore and actually start seeing life in other ways than working and smoking. Today is the start of something new.

Almost 6 months sober from marijuana addiction!! 100x better quality and quantities of sleep, stable mood, better memory, clearer mind and easier to make decisions. Allows me to find healthy ways to calm and regulate my nervous system, less anxiety, more inner peace. I’m feeling more alive and excited about building a future for myself. ❤️ 10/10 recommend staying away from marijuana!!!

The technique I used was called Surrender. I just gave up. Had a note on top my bed ceiling saying SURRENDER. And it worked for me

It's absolutely crazy how the common perception of weed is that it's a very mild drug and etc. It's actually pretty insidious, a heavy anxiety trigger, makes you confused. And the icing on the cake: it IS addictive, folks.

I’m quitting. Been smoking since I been 13 and today I’m challenging myself to quit. I spend a lot of money and time smoking weed. Weed changed so much since I was a kid and I know they put more chemicals in it that’s definitely unhealthy. I’ve started to experience anxiety when I smoke and it gives me a weird feeling in my chest, makes me anxious for no reason and as much as I enjoy smoking and the feeling it give It’s starting to freak me out. I just Pray to God he help me as much as I’m going to help myself.

For anyone who thinks they have a problem and wants to quit. What i did was move out of the place i was living lived in my car for a few weeks, then found a 1 bedroom place to rent. Been here for nearly 8 months, being away from my old environments has really made it easier to quit not only weed, but alcohol and nicotine all withing the last year

Currently trying to quit and almost at 24 hours (super early but as a regular smoker I'm already having cravings). Icl it's tough, I've tried to quit about 5/6 times before and due to many different reasons go back. This last stint was different though, i found myself needing a smoke when i wake up or before going to bed. For the first time I can actually see WOW this is affecting my life to the point where it isn't a nice chilled smoke at the end of the day but instead something I need to enjoy the day or have a good mood and without it I can't recognise myself. Been tough and it's still so early, but reading all these comments has made me realise I'm not alone and I'm not a failure. I hope like others this can be a push for others like it has been for me. I've tried to gradually reduce but going cold turkey and hoping to give myself a big break from it. Potentially for good!

Been smoking now for 30 years. I honestly don't know how to even take the 1st step. A solo smoker, who smokes from dawn till dusk. Used to party on the usual, acid, ecstasy, speed and coke. I found them easy to give up. But weed I just can't crack. I buy far too much, even days when I say to myself NOPE, not today but then 10 minutes later I'm on the phone to my dealer. I do envy those who can just decide to stop and those who have managed to begin the journey.

I have been smoking for the past 15 years, going thru the comment section keeps me motivated . I'm trying my best to quit,I'm currently in my 12th day … I hope I keep on like this . God Help me ,,,

Today is my first day of quitting. Ive been smoking for about 8 years . All the money invested into makes me upset, especially now that i have a tolerance and doesn't do too much for me. Recently it just feel like it adds to anxiety instead of calming me down and also messing with my breathing. I'll try to keep updates. Wish me luck.
  • I consume a lot of cannabis and I spend a lot on it. I make decent money so it doesn’t interfere with bills and responsibilities. But the money I would be saving would be very beneficial for me. So I think it’s time I start cutting it out slowly. Today marks day one of cutting back. Wish me luck!

I quit the Monday following thanksgiving. At 30 yo, I have been a regular smoker since 14. I use shrooms to help and my mental clarity, energy, appetite, and sleep have all improved dramatically
