Aww, the minute Gilda is brought up you see Bill get chocked back. He really did love her. Rip.
  • Bill Murray young, old and in between, has always been golden. Just naturally funny, even in general conversation (listen to the camera people laughing), highly intelligent, exudes biting wit and sarcasm, dead pan expression and HILARIOUS. He’s a national treasure. Gilda, What a talent and what a heart. She was one of a kind. Gone way to soon.

We've been 30 plus years without Gilda, and there is still no one who can make me laugh and feel good the way she could.

    Love Bill,adore Gilda.......miss the old days : (
  • One of the few people in the world who can pull off a serious persona with such an outrageous hat. One of my favorite celebrities. Cheers

Loved the movie and the kind words he spoke about Gilda. Both are still 2 of my favorites!

Bill Murray is the only person I could watch a 20-minute interview.
  • The original SNL cast will always be the best for me. Especially Bill and Gilda and of course John. Bill has always seemed to be just an easy going guy and it comes thru when he talks. Always has great stories. He can be funny without even trying to be, the expressions, the timing. Love the SNL cheeseburger scene where he doesn't say anything he just keeps nodding his head like he understands what Robert Klein is telling him and he comes back with Cheeseburger!

Tom really knew his stuff. He made Bill feel comfortable, and he really opened up. Great interview.

I was a regular caller to the Tom Snyder radio show back in the 90's. I was on about 10 times with various celebrities and Tom loved my jokes. His favorite was when I was on with Rita Coolidge and Tom told the joke, "What do you get when you play a country music record backwards -- you get your truck back, your wife back..." We all laughed and I said, "What do you get when you play new age music backwards?" Tom, still chuckling, said, "Tell us, Dan." "New Age music." Silence for a second, then Tom absolutely erupted in laughter, and I heard him tell that joke twice on his show after that, and one of those times he mentioned me by name, "That was from a caller named Dan from Hot Springs, Arkansas, and I guarantee he's listening now." I was on his last show and got a little emotional even though he warned everyone not to be, and I regret that. When his show ended he sent me an autographed portrait with the words, "To Dan Williams, a real favorite." It was destroyed when the apartment building I was living in burned to the ground a year and a day after Tom's death -- July 30, 2008. It hurts my heart to this day that both of them are gone forever. I could honestly cry right now, just thinking about it. I loved you, Tom. You kept my spirits up when I barely had anything but a radio to my name. Well, never mind, I am crying.

Bill Murray speaks with such warmth about the older crew members who watched them grow and be better ..... so unlike today, where anybody over 30 is dismissed as "hey, boomer".

I wanted to tear up hearing his voice crack talking about Gilda....
  • Am I the only one who really enjoyed the classic commercials that were in the video? 😂

Dan Ackroyd as Tom Snyder interviewing Mick Jagger. Dang. He had this guy down pat.
