This video will take you to Playa Del Carmen Beach in Mexico and provide information and an update on the seaweed situation. This video was shot in the middle of the afternoon. They have announced the official beginning of seaweed season. The government has now put in place a plan to minimize the affects of seaweed on tourism. The plan includes 8600 meters of barrier out at sea held by anchors on the sea bottom, different boats that pick the seaweed up out at sea before it gets to shore and a number of machines and workers on the beach.

Playa del Carmen is a coastal resort town in Mexico, along the Yucatán Peninsula's Riviera Maya strip of Caribbean shoreline. In the state of Quintana Roo, it’s known for its palm-lined beaches and coral reefs.

Leonaaaard! Great to hear about the pending seaweed barriers, Brother! Didn't we talk about that a while back? Thanks for this update. We will be visiting Playa Del Carmen in October for two weeks - let’s see how it is looking then. We previously visited PDC eight years ago and there was no sargasso then🎉🎉🎉🎉

Not Coco Beach. Those “huts” are the Mahekal on 38th. Coco beach is on the other side of the boats.
