That nope chain is a very good way to understand how it feels to be the DM in D&D and a Player just goes "But can I counterspell their counterspell?" to which I of course answer "Yes" and then the other enemy counterspells that counterspell, and then you learn just how many players are just not ready to fuck with spellcasters and took counterspell.
