INGREDIENTS:
1 tbsp oil
1 pound / 450g lean ground beef
1 Onion
1 cup / 240 ml heavy cream or milk
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp Sage
Salt, Black pepper
2 Handfuls Spinach (optional)
7-9 Mushrooms
4 Potatoes
4 ounces / 115g Gruyère cheese

Bake until potatoes are very tender, 60 to 75 minutes at 350 °F / 180°C
Uncover and cook until golden brown, about 10 minutes more

    I followed the instructions perfectly, except for cooking it at a slightly higher temperature, 395 degrees, for 50 minutes, and it was not a delicious meal at all. I slightly seasoned the 80-20 ground beef with salt only, plus fresh thyme and dry, but the meat, mushrooms, and onions needed more seasoning. I did salt the potato layers as indicated. Plus, I used whole milk, not cream. In short, the whole meal was tasteless, unfortunately.😶
