Fury. April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

As a former tank admiral, historian, civil army engineer, and WoT veteran, I can say that thats a tank

“How do you know they’re dead? Are you a doctor?” For some reason, I REALLY love that line.
  • I absolutely love the comms in this scene prior to the battle properly heating up. Such a good example of how hard you have to work sometimes to make it work smoothly, rather than in most movies, where someone just shouts one order and everything runs like clockwork.

The only thing I didn’t like about this scene is how the only tank that hits ALL the targets is the Fury, the rest shoot but no one hits anything. They are like a game campaign’s AI allies xD
  • My grandfather told me a terrible account of a tank crew not paying attention and unintentionally traveling over some of his service members. He always stopped at that point, I can only imagine the memories he once held of the sights and sounds which the event did manifest before him. RIP grandpa.

4:22 Panzerfaust guy is like I’m just going to stare at the tank and not shoot.

That German Pak75 anti-tank gun was a terror for allied tanks. The crews were generally highly skilled and they used the best optics. I can't see how they could have missed that many times in an open field.
  • that soldier at 3:57 looking up while being in the trenches always got to me. its like literally inches away from possibly being killed instantly and no where to go while 4 tanks and a hundred soldiers coming towards you and your ally tanks behind you are gone.

" It's just a ricochet were okay" one of the best scene

4:54 A high budget hollywood film using real tanks from WWII, and that's the sound they go with for the M1 Garand. Amazing
  • I don't care how unrealistic this movie is because the scene at 3:51 is like the 2nd greatest part of the movie. Seeing all those guns firing is awesome.

I know the Germans were the enemy. But I still have to tip my hat to the PAK gunners in this scene. It's very brave and patriotic to, as a blind man, volunteer to serve your country on the front line.

So the Sherman hits the MG team dug into a fox hole while moving and a antitank gun that was sitting there for 10 minutes watching the tank completely misses from head on?
  • @adammatis5527
"CLEAR!!" "On the way!" I can't tell you why those guys sound so good together, but they sure do.
