Lost Autistic Boy Found by Police K-9

A police K-9 and drones helped bring an autistic boy back to his family. An officer from Georgia’s Gwinnett County Police Department gets out of his patrol car and puts a leash on K-9 Sika. Sika’s nose picks up the scent of the child as she guides her handler past suburban lawns towards a ditch on the side of a road. The child is back home with his family. In the end, it took a combination of old fashioned police work, modern technology and human’s best friend to make this rescue happen.

You gotta love how the officer spoke to the young man knowing he’s autistic and knowing he might be afraid but it made also worthwhile for him and the beautiful dog knew exactly what to do beautiful work
