  • @jwaddle102
The last 2 story house on the left, (white with red roof) was where I grew up. It used to be green with white trim. I planted a pine tree in the corner near the road when I was in the 3rd grade.
  • Aww Jill is my mom! I have so many memories of spending time in Dunbar with my Granny when I was growing up.
  • Thanks for bringing us along Shane and Melody. I loved how green it was there! I'm with you Melody, probably very snake-y
  • It must be difficult to live there in Dunbar. It is far from everything.
  • @Domro5
Wow, that holler is out there!
  • Dunbar is my favorite place. My dad grew up there, my mom in Pardee. My grandparents lived in the green house next to Church. I appreciate the visit (I like your videos) but y’all missed so much history in your pass through. There are coke ovens you missed, the Coal Miners Daughter connection to Pardee, other cool spots. The boonies though πŸ˜‚
  • I drive a semi home every day there are a few women drives here be safe good video as all ways
  • WOW! You sweet people are out in the boonies. At least you are on a secondary road. This is absolutely beautiful country folks. Love the beautiful trees and the flowers. Somethings tells me that you two are not going to pass many cars on the road going in the opposite direction. I have seen only three signs; speed limit, right curve, and railroad. What route are you on in VA? There doesn't appear to be any houses until you reach Dunbar. I would not want to be caught on this road at night or in the winter. I doubt if there is cell phone service. I hope your gas tank is full. I lived in VA for 2 years and didn't realize there was a Dunbar, VA. I was born and raised in Dunbar, WV which is very different from where you are heading. Did you come across Dunbar in your research? This was such a great video. Thanks for taking me along on this adventure.
  • Long time subscriber. Would love to see a map at the start of the video to show the location, ideally a moving map in a corner as you drive.
  • I always have thought it was weird companies left these machines and trucks sitting. Great video guys!
  • @1940limited
This i an amazingly nice road. Some rocks cut further back to build it.
  • @chubs1701
Another great video seems like y'all have a lot of rain to go through but even on a rainy day y'all have fun doing it love it take care my friends and God Bless You Both πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™β€οΈπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
  • I have family that still lives there and we go a few times a year to visit my grandmother. My mom grew up in Dunbar and my dad in Exeter. Y'all really did miss some history and the old Coal Miners bath house is still standing in Dunbar as well but you can't drive to it. You've not truly explored Dunbar until you've gotten to take a good walk through.
  • Rain! Golly we sure could use some of that up here in East Central Indiana.
  • The trees look so much greener during and immediately after the rain! Enjoyed the drive. Tim complains often about tailgators riding too close and he pulls off to the side to let them pass as much as he can! Thanks for the video!
