This channel is CRIMINALLY underrated! Absolutely amazing video, keep up the great work!

Good analysis. Late fees were exactly the reason i started ordering from Netflix instead.

I was born too late to have the video store experience. However, I do remember every weekend my family rented a new movie from the Redbox outside our grocery store. There's something about physical media that's so appealing to me, the group experience of putting a physical movie into the playing and making an entire night out of watching a specific movie is just extremely valuable.

I used to go to blockbuster or the local video rental store with my dad every Friday :( I love Netflix but I would love the option to go back to VHS and DVD rentals for old time’s sake

Very insightful stuff man, I never had a chance to experience Blockbuster but there are places like Family Video keeping it somewhat alive! Keep up the great work man!

very good and detailed video dude. the demise of blockbuster (even though not related as much of course) kinda reminded me of yahoo. you know, In 1998 google approached yahoo to sell google for $1 million but they refused and well, we all know the outcome of that situation. no one ever used ''yahoo it'' for example lol. the problem is, knowing exactly ''when'' to either sell your company, acquire a new and innovative partner or to make hard but necessary changes to simply stay in the business is really hard in an overchanging world. what do you think about hbo max's decision to air all their 2021 movies at the same day on their plaftorm? Will it contribute hugely to the possible death of movie theathers? Is it a smart business strategy considering the continuing pandemic and all that?

If people had a problem with the late fees, then don't hold them after your due date. It ain't that hard yo

Wow, this is such good content. I never comment here. Congrats
  • I'm glad netflix helped kill blockbuster, All you need for netflix is a debit card and a TV or smartphone. However for blockbuster a debit card wasn't good enough, you needed a credit card ( which a lot of people don't qualify for ) and you needed to leave the comfort of your home for a movie. Also one time the girl behind the counter forgot to unlock the DVD case and I had to come back to have her unlock it. Oh yeah, and the late fees.

Please make a review of the first Russian blockbuster "Major Grom: The Plague Doctor" on the superhero theme. I think it turned out well!
