Verizon vs. T-Mobile | Comparing Prices, Coverage, Data, Speeds, and Plans

For pricing Verizon be 200... plus taxes and fees. When t mobile is 180 with taxes and fees included. T mobile doesn't have that bad of coverage as u say they do. Its actually pretty good compared to Verizon.

I live in NC. Verizon is pretty much bulletproof here. Second is ATT. Tmobile goes out when I'm going through the "country and backwoods" and for that reason I had to switch.

T-Mobile is much faster in most cities, and big towns. T-Mobile is 20+ mbps faster than Verizon in my area (NJ, 20 miles out of NYC). Verizon gets overloaded very quickly, and T-Mobile has higher capacity in most areas I’ve been to. The only time I ever notice T-Mobile having poor coverage is when I go to Vermont, but everywhere else I’ve been, I have great coverage and the best speeds.

T-Mobile’s military 50% discount is the best thing ever :) I got 5 lines under my name for 110.

I get fast speeds all over the country with T mobile and no problems at all!

When you include prices, T- Mobile is far better. Unless you travel in remote areas, T-Mobile is far better.

We changed from AT&T a few years ago to T-Mobile and for the most part like T-Mobile, however, when we travel a bit outside of the city T-Mobile drops like a rock. We just returned from a small town along a state highway and had NO SIGNAL AT ALL, while our friend with Verizon had full coverage, very frustrating.

I have T mobile and there are parts of my city that are complete dead zones. I work at Cricket Wireless literally right across the street from the mall in the middle of the city and I get no signal. I am probably gonna switch to Verizon. Been dealing with this lack of coverage since 2012.

Don’t forget to mention with T-mobile you will be laying out a hefty down payment when you upgrade.

I live in Los Angeles and was with Verizon for 14 years. I couldn't drive home from work without calls dropping and there's no coverage in my office. Zero issues since switching to T-Mo 4 years ago and my bill went down over $50/mo. Always remember to add the $20/line "access fee" when comparing VZ to other carriers. Their published rates are a lie.

Switched to T-Mobile from Verizon. One note is that with the One Plus International plan you also get unlimited 4g wifi Hotspot if you want to use your phone to tether wireless to your computer.

After taxes and fees it's probably more of a 40+ dollar gap, which is worth mentioning and more than a few bucks. When I had Att my 115 dollar bill was around 130+ once they added taxes and fees so 200 dollars would add even more. I love that T-mobile includes it in the price. Taxes and fees may change, but your T-mobile bill remains the same. Location is important though. Where I travel T-mobile coverage is the same as Verizon but speeds are MUCH faster. A 50gb LTE freedom(popular apps like YouTube don't take away from your data), 10gb LTE hotspot with unlimited 3g afterwards, Netflix (which widens the price gap to $50+ with the 10 dollar value), free stuff on T-mobile Tuesdays(more money saved) definitely makes it a much more affordable choice and better choice IF it covers you. T-mobile compared to Verizon is a BIG difference financially. I actually have a friend with the same phone as me and similar unlimited plan but on Verizon. He pays about 30+ more dollars than me once the bill comes in.

Left Verizon wireless after 15 years they simply do not care about customers. Went to AT&T and very satisfied!

She forgets to mention that band 71 is going to be nation wide coverage with T-Mobile you need a band 71 capable phones they rolling it out across the country in rural areas

The Verizon "Go Unlimited" can be throttled EVEN BEFORE a customer reaches 22gb. You forgot that fact. "Above Unlimited" has a prioritization at 20gb and "Beyond Unlimited" has a limit at 75gb.

I've spent over 200 hours on the phone and over 60 hours in show rooms at T-Mobile trying to get my rebate from September of 2017 every two weeks I get promises that'll be here. They're unable to provide a tracking number because they reorder it every time. It appears they'll actually have to mail me my rebate before they have a tracking number and they don't know have anyone who does that. A mode to phone from Verizon to T-Mobile in October 2017 still no rebate.. The sales person stole my expensive Verizon phone... took 8 months to get T-Mobile to replace it... every month they still tell me I'm entitled to my rebate though

T-Mobile has passed AT&T but haven’t quite caught up to Verizon yet. Verizon still #1 in coverage but T-Mobile’s speed is there, is blazing fast almost everywhere and t-mobiles network is growing.... FAST

I switched one phone from Verizon and three from AT&T a month ago to T-Mobile. I live in a small city 45 miles west of Boston. I was paying about $400 before and now I am paying $100 including taxes for four phones and an Apple Watch on T-Mobile's Military One Plan. I've done speed tests and am satisfied with T-Mobile. I have found no dead spots in New England yet. I contacted T-Mobile's customer help using a direct message on Twitter and they got back to me within a minute and resolved my issue. All in all, I am pretty happy with my switch.

But Tmobile is GSM and Verizon is CDMA. A sim from a GSM network can be used worldwide whereas, a sim from a CDMA network you can't. The phones IMEI number is associated with the sim card.
