Everyone keeps saying that Amanda is "nurturing mom" energy, but tbh she gives me more "favorite wine-drinking aunt" vibes
  • @power1990
"My ex-husband sexually harassed my sister, so OF COURSE my new husband has to sexually harass my sister!" That's a new one on me.
  • @mnm2040
As a woman who’s half pinoy and half Latina. I’ve heard horror stories of women/girls from the Philippines being used or groomed by men that have this mentality. And to hear just a smidge of the disgusting things they say about pinoy women in Manila isn’t surprising but devastating. My people aren’t little dolls to use or married off as ‘trad wives.’ They just want to live and survive.

For the mom and sister story, it’s also wild that after OP passed their “test”, it should disprove their delusions.. why wouldn’t they apologize at that point? They were proven wrong and they caused a lot of distress in their family and used a lot of deception. The fact that they just became defense feels like they’re not in general treating OP and her feelings with much respect
  • @Tinsrox
The “test” story made me feel physically ill. To be sat in a room with your family and have someone you felt was also family treating you that way. No one reacting. You’d feel crazy and disgusted and so confused. To add the insult that this test was basically blaming her for the forced sexualisation she’d already received from the previous husband? Vile. Throw the whole family away

Shayne: So we had this guy who was putting sawdust. Ian: Yeah that's what I'm thinking about- Amanda: HE WHAT
  • @SephStar
Okay, to add to the olive oils story. I wanna say that at a point in my life, it was recommended for me to add oil into my foods. Although I wasn’t a huge fan of the idea, I ALLOWED my parents to put it in my food. I didn’t want to put it in myself or see it, because… eating issues. This was something we talked about and discussed, and my doctor only prescribed 1-2 tablespoons. That amount was for someone who was eating way below their recommended caloric intake and was very underweight. Having 4-5 tbsp every day is absolutely insane to me. If you are genuinely concerned about someone’s weight and mental issues you go a different route, period.

Is it just me or did Ian match the energy of this video perfectly? He was so thoughtful, collected, and I'd say even knowledgeable about women's experience. I feel like you don't see this side of Ian very often but I really enjoyed it.
  • The fact of the matter is that that man didn't humiliate his girlfriend. He scared her. That's why she cried
  • @iseggme
Sorry mom, I can’t talk right now, Shayne is reading Reddit stories
  • @purejoy420
once heard someone say that when women stopped needing men, men needed to become more likeable to adapt and that’s what some men struggle with and i think about that daily
  • @TopazFire15
They missed the update on the guy who assaulted his girlfriend because she thought she could handle herself. He admits to getting off on her crying! That he enjoyed having her pinned down and helpless and suffering underneath him! Absolute monster.
  • @adelehare8495
obsessed with Ian looking up at Amanda and Amanda looking down at Ian😭 funniest possible employer/employee dynamic
  • @LiviaInTheSkyy
"Alcohol is bad for my kids health and they shouldn't drink it, that's why when he tried to drink it whithout my knowledge I made him drink all of it at once, and also bribe the store, to teach him what is good." Not a good plan.
  • @TheBrywarrior90
I used to work in a gas station and lemme tell ya, no gas station company is pressing charges for an 18 pack of beer. What most likely happened is that the dad offered to pay to avoid them pressing charges preemptively, and the cashier was just like “Uh…yeah sure, whatever, give me $100.” Then pocketed it. He can’t put it in the drawer, because then it’s $100 over and that’s bad and requires a lot of corporate bullshit.
  • @IraLuxuria
That guy who pinned his girlfriend down and saw fear in her eyes is sick. It's one thing to want to protect your partner, it's another one to want them to be afraid.
  • Amanda the nurturing mother figure vs. Ian the chaotic questionable father figure 😂😂😂😂
  • A couple years ago we had a anti drug seminar at my school and one of the things they told us about, to deter us from underage drinking, was a news report of parents forcing their kid to drink a bunch of alcohol. Their goal was to scare him from drinking ever again but they killed him. He died from alcohol poisoning and the parents were put in prison for murder. The kid just wanted to try alcohol and they basically killed him for it

I've been doing jujitsu for 3.5 years, and while I've learned a lot of self-defense techniques that make me feel safer, my instructors have always stressed that the order of operations when confronted with a potential fight is to 1) avoid it, 2) put something between yourself and your attacker, and THEN 3) try to intercept and control the situation physically. It's great to be strong, but it's also important to be smart and to value your safety. Stay safe out there everyone. ❤
  • Shayne's Australian accent is as close to Billy Butcher as he gets, an English character, played by a New Zealand actor 😂
