This guy really just gave me my 45 training hours in 25 minutes. Not all hero’s wear capes
  • @AbuctingTacos
"We're going straight for Christ the Redeemer" that's exactly what my instructor said on my first flight

Even though I'm a hardcore simmer, I really enjoyed watching this tutorial for newbies. Nice one.

This comment may sound sarcastic but, no joke best tutorial i've ever watched.
  • @jaknap1
Great video. No stupid music, no stupid humor, excellent graphics, clear English, no selfies, content to the point, etc.

Squirrel you are a STAR! Not only is your delivery clear but the degree of thoughtfulness towards us newbies is remarkable. You have the knack of a natural born teacher with great empathy especially for ensuring giving not too much information all at once. Thank you.

I cannot believe we’re getting a flight sim of this quality on a console. Slap me someone.

My husband and I took turns playing around in the easy mode on the World Map with 4 or 5 different planes. We flew from Orlando to Tampa, flew over all the major theme parks, then our house North of Tampa and landed at MacDill AFB. We noticed the satellite images are older because we could still see the big oak tree that was once outside of our house that we cut down about 5-6 years ago. We explored San Vito dei Normanni (Italy) where my husband grew up; Shiner, TX where he went to high school; Kyoto, Japan where I lived and worked and even took the main menu tour around Giza. Then we challenged ourselves a bit by flying from Seoul to Pyongyang at night, just to see the contrast in how big and bright the lights are in South Korea vs. a nearly-dark North Korea. After I get through some basic flight training, my goals are to fly along the TransSiberian Railroad and the old Silk Road paths.

I have to say a massive thanks for this and all your MSFS videos! You explain everything in such a clear and interesting way and they are incredibly helpful so big respect! I hope you do similar tutorials for the Xbox like you did for PC 👍
  • Brilliant as always. Thank you. 1day 1hours 50min and few seconds away. You have the perfect ability of ensuring new comers never feel overwhelmed and at the same time encouraging them to persevere and get better at the SIM experience. Looking so forward to the whole series
  • Brand new to MSFX, never had a PC that could run it so it’s a delight having it on a console. This tutorial has really helped me get over my initial overwhelm - in particular the advice on setting the assistance options so you get the feedback of flight control while still keeping things easy.
  • I'm going to guess this xbox version will add hundred of thousands to the simmer community Welcome and dont let any of our fellow PC simmers talk you down
  • @pasikeranen
Thank you for the clear and simple instructions, managed to do first take off form my hometown’s airfield with this tutorial. What a joy!
  • From someone who has never flown a sim like this..a heartfelt thank you. Your tone and demeanour are perfect for listening and learning. With your help, I too have flown my first airframe and seen my first landmark. Thank you. I shall watch the landing video when I'm done in the skies 😊

Picked up a Series X last week mainly for this sim. Really enjoyed this tutorial and looking forward to watching the rest. I already did my first takeoff and landing at my local airport (London City) but this is still a great video to watch. Great job 👏🏻

What a bloody good video. Really impressed on how clear you gave the instructions. Very good for first time players. I played on pc a year ago but decided to wait for the xbox version. These videos are keeping me entertained while I'm at work waiting for my days off to begin so I can go play it for myself.

Brilliant tutorial - very clear instructions and just the right pace. Did my first ever take off following your instructions. Took off from Santos Dumont (Rio) and had a good close up look at Christ the Redeemer. Then, for a laugh, I tried to land (again first time) back at Santos Dumont. Approach wasn’t too bad but overshot the runway and landed in the sea, but just turned the plane around and came back onto the runway! Sully would have been proud! Then the plane somehow taxied itself back and parked - what a hoot! Obviously lots to learn. Great fun - thanks.
  • Thank you so much for the terrific video. Just got the Series X and flight sim and have been having a blast. You made it easier/faster to begin my fun, so thank you so much!

I know I am 2 years late here, but I just bought the Xbox S console and immediately purchased MSFS 2020. I have not played video games in close to 20 years. So glad I found your video and just wanted to thank you for making it and posting. Having done some systems training in the past myself, I thoroughly enjoy your tutorial style. Great voice and accent, by the way lol.

I will use this sim to overcome my fear of flying. We fear what we don't understand.
