Protests in Bangladesh against the reimposition of a quota system for government jobs have turned deadly. Dozens of people were killed in demonstrations calling for an end to the quota system, which favours the children of fighters in the 1971 war of independence from Pakistan. Students are also demanding justice for those who have been killed in three weeks of protest.

  • IT IS A COMPLETE BLACKOUT OF COMMUNICATION IN BANGLADESH.🇧🇩 From various accounts, people from Bangladesh have been last heard from around 9pm Bangladesh time. Since then, thousands of people have not been able to contact their friends and families living in the country, getting worried sick about what might be happening at the moment. Some are having luck using VOIP services like ViberOut or Skype to directly call at first, but at the moment even that has reportedly stopped working.
