  • That's a great tractor. Still running my B7100 40 yrs later. The axles don't bend but the hubs wear out. That peddle is diff lock and the compartment on left is tool kit.

Nice rig. I have a copy from 1978. Still running and just needs regular services. I wish mine had a bucket. They are hard to find but I always have an eye open for one. Japanese made machines are hard to beat. I go to the dealer and parts are still available. Just like Toyota.

I'm impressed. Good for you young man!!! Keep up the good work!!! Nice tractor!!

You’re going to love that tractor! I have the same one that should be Playmate of the Month in an ugly tractor magazine. I call mine Krusty because it’s so ugly but insanely reliable. I use Krusty with just a Box Blade and a previous owner added much-needed weight to the front with old RR track dating back to the 1890’s. There’s a website I found with lots of B7100 owners that helped me revive her after sitting for a long time. It’s a Kubota forum called Orange Tractor I believe. That group is great and respond quickly to questions. Good luck with your business!

💥 That’s a fine looking machine! Very impressive to listen to you talk about it. Differential lock is the term you were looking for. Keep on tractoring! 😁👍

So jealous of that tractor. I have a Ford GT165 and want a front end loader way bad. Keep up the good work.
  • Hey big guy, that's impressive to hear you speak of your machine , you sound like you take enjoy your job , and yes if done right you can be super successful in landscaping, if you put the time in work high and learn new things every chance you get the sky is the limit. Good job buddy keep up the hard work!!! Nothing can give you more pride then owning your own things paid for with your own money because you worked for it. Hope you do well with your business man.

That small opening in the side is a spot for a tool kit. I'm working on a 7100.

Was lucky enough to find one of these with the backhoe attachment a few years back has been awesome for spreading material and digging up tree stumps breaking ground on new gardens

We have the same 1979 B7100 here in Clackamas, Oregon. Owned it for about 25 years now. great tractor, with several implements.
  • Hi there. Good description of the features! I have a similar model - 3-cyl 16HP diesel 4WD with diff lock, manual shift & steering. It has a home-made front-end loader with a sturdy bucket modified to have C-channel forks inserted (square tube welded inside the bucket. I don't know the age but I'm at least the 3rd owner. it's not pretty but it's been a fine helper around my cottage property. I haven't had any axle problem, but I had to replace the steering box bearings because I muscled the steering too hard on flat rock surface. Also, note that the front axle arm tilts and has an adjustable stop on each side to limit the upper travel. My stops let the tires go high enough to rub on the loader frame braces and stressed the front differential so much that the bevel gear chipped teeth. I'm in Ontario Canada and my tractor is a B7001 - which is a 'grey-market' model in North America, so local dealers don't service it. Luckily some parts are common with the B7100, and my mechanic buddy nearby keeps mine going. As mentioned elsewhere, OrangeTractorTalks is the site to find maintenance/repair videos and a forum to get expert advice.

Really nice tractor. Having the loader is sweet too; they're hard to find. FYI, the engine in the 7100s is a Kubota D750-A and it makes 16hp. You can swap in the D850/950 engine in them and the D950 makes 22hp.
  • @GodsMount
That cover is where the tool bag goes in. Its the built in toolbox. I have the same model.
  • @DolittleMccoy
Do you happen to still own the tractor? If so, Could you make a quick video showing the underside of the tractor where the loader attaches. (Subframe). I have a kubota b4200 and I'm wanting to add a front loader. But I need a subframe to mount it to. I can't find any references to look at in order to get an idea how its made. A quick video, or afew pics send via email would be appreciated.. Thanks.
  • Imm think thag pedal is either differential or bi speed turn
  • @kaleip
I just got one but it didnt come with a bucket can you please share the distance between the 2 pins on the bucket i have to modify mounts on a different one because i cant find original bucket thanks
