What price are Ohio High School wrestlers willing to pay for a championship? Lance, driven by his over-bearing father, has repeated the 8th grade, worked out on Christmas Morning and wrestled with 600-pound bears. Matt, raised by a single mother, trains relentlessly while starving himself in hopes of a title.

"Pinned" is the eye-opening true story of two wrestlers willing to do anything to become champions.

Many people will never know the pain of wrestling...
  • My family was poor when I was in HS. I am a natural wet towel on the mat but never had the opportunity because we couldn't afford it. My son wrestled played FB and daughter swam. They had every opportunity we could give them. Loved HS sports. Let your kids be kids. If they naturally excel them pursue that with as much support as you can give.

wrestlers are a brotherhood. the pain, dedication no matter if you win or lose. it is the greatest sport. I wrestled back in the mid '90s in Oklahoma under an all American , state champion coach. once a wrestler always a wrestler.

I wrestled in late 90s. I graduated in 96. We had no real idea about nutrition or smart ways to cut weight. But we had lots of heart. I to was someone who had more heart than physical ability. But man how I wouldn't take anything for those experiences. I also truly believe it made me tougher and able to handle tough situations in my adult life. Thanks wrestling and all the great coaches and wrestling partners at Castlewood high!!! Thanks for everything

It's amazing to see the disparity between the two programs!
  • That was such a good movie. Even more so since im from ohio and knew a few of these guys from back in my wrestling day. wow man what a rollercoaster.
  • Former head coach gives perfect reason why they haven't had a champ in so long; cuz he's waiting for that special kid to come along.

This movie reminded me so much about the ridiculous (and sometimes quite dangerous) perspective on weight cutting and competition in wrestling. I feel slightly embarrassed to admit it, but the wrestler Curly from Lakewood reminded me a lot of myself during my youth. I firmly believe i would have had a far more successful career if i was given a more wise approach to diet in wrestling. I attribute most of my gas tank running out in tournaments to lack of proper calories and nutrition. If i only knew then what i know now.

i graduated highschool in 21, did wrestling all 4 years. absolutely loves every second of it. i just never had the time to put into it sadly. i miss cutting weight and i miss throwing up in trash bins after a hard workout. really felt like i was a part of something bigger than myself

  • Very cool. It's a good look at the American people that live outside of California and New York for a change.
  • I placed 3rd in state 2004 "Colorado" I was not mentally prepared either now I'm 33 and just barely officially getting over the fact that I could have done better in counseling they called it the what ifs... I'm stronger now though in a crucial money making time in my life and taking care of my family I created a son who likes hockey now I know how to properly train him.
