And this is how America will slowly fade away, one emergency at a time if we allow it.

Declare intangibles as "emergencies" so the government can grant themselves unchecked powers

Wow, absolutely disgusting to see. The climate is a very very important subject to me, but if we are going to tackle this issue, this is not the way to do it. Abusing a loophole to give the president full, unchecked legislative power to tackle this issue. Our government is based on checks and balances, not loopholes and power grabs. Justifying it by saying Trump did the same thing is not a fair justification. It is a childish one. This has opened my eyes to A LOT, Schumer looks so happy when he mentions the words 'power.'

Awesome right after you declare a tax the rich emergency. I'm tired of my tax dollars supporting socialism for the rich.
  • @xr650rguy
Did anyone see that micro expression Schumer gave?

Please, these snippets are useless without context - MSNBC, are you please going to publish this as a single video?

The best thing Schumer can do for the climate crisis is to close his big mouth, too much hot air. He needs to resign.

Let's outlaw second and third homes to reduce carbon footprints. I'm sure Chuck won't mind selling off his extra houses if it'll save the planet. He's just that kind of guy.
  • @JonathanoQo
So he's basically saying use climate change for a power grab, it's not like it hasn't started already
  • @ruthdepew7212
The most important issue is that humans can continue breathing on a regular basis. The two greatest threats to this are the pandemic and climate change. Controlling both are pro life concerns.
  • @steinj
Any chance we can get the full interview for context?

I think it might be a good idea for Schumer to take (and hold to) a vow of silence.

What’s the worst-case scenario of emergency powers to build a wall? A wall. Now, let’s compare that to the worst-case scenario of a climate emergency…
