Brothers REACT to The Warning: DTB's Gear Masters Interviews

Published 2024-02-11
In this video we'll look at all three videos featuring members of The Warning discussing the gear they're using on their current tour in DTB's Gear Masters Series. (Original links are below).

The Warning, a Mexican rock band comprised of the Villarreal sisters – Daniela (bass and vocals), Paulina (drums and vocals), and Alejandra (guitar and vocals) – have been making waves in the music scene with their infectious energy and impressive talent. They've evolved from child prodigies into mature musicians.

Their latest album, "Error," released in June 2022, marks their first full-length release with Lava Records. It builds upon the foundation laid by their 2021 EP "Mayday," incorporating six of its tracks seamlessly. Produced by David Bendeth, the album received positive reviews, praising the band's growth and maturity in their songwriting and musical prowess.

You're right, guys, these sisters know what they're doing and are completely professional artists. When the MTV production told them that everything had gone well and everyone had liked it, Paulina commented, more or less: "it means we did our job well."

The Warning rhythm section has 2 generational talents. In 2020 a leading bass manufacturer crafted a customized signature bass for a 15 year old with her inputs regarding aesthetics & structure. And then put her on top of their featured artists on their website. How talented do you need to be!!! In 2018 a professional bassist in New York sent 2 Spector bass to an unknown 13 year old girl in Monterrey, Mexico after watching her perform on YouTube with her sisters. Incredible isn't it? The Warning journey over the past decade is full of heartwarming stories like this. And that 13 year old girl paid back Thomas Illgen last August, when The Warning gave a concert at Stone Pony. Ale invited him & his family back stage and gave him 2 bass guitars - one from her Ale's inferno signature range recently launched by Spector & the other, a 5 string she had used for the song Martirio. That's class, gratitude & humility.

Sounds like a great plan. TWA will be along for the ride! 👍😎
  • Just when you think The Warning couldn't be any cooler, you find out they are gear nerds!

I first discovered these young ladies in June of 2015 and have yet to miss a single day in over 8 years in which I have not enjoyed listening to their outstanding and masterful music. In my 64 plus years of life I have never been as excited about a new band as I am The Warning. And believe me, I have been to almost countless concerts over the past 40 years. With their recent performance on the MTV Video Music Awards they have not only knocked on the door of superstardom, but blew that door off its hinges! They will, without a doubt in my mind soon be playing any venue they choose, including major arenas and stadiums. I also see them being invited not just to participate in, but to headline the biggest music festivals the world has to offer. LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!

There have been times when their systems have failed, they are perfectly capable of continuing without them. It is not really too noticable unless your really listening out for it, because they put on such an entertaining show. Thanks for posting guys. ❤✌🤘⚡🔥

These girls are the best thing happen on the music for the last 30 years. They breath music and talent, they are the real deal. Every musician that make contact with their art is marked for good.

I was outside when these were being filmed. They were shot Aug 19 2023 in Chicago. Since this was filmed Ale has switched the model of Spector she plays.

Older The Warning covers to check out Atlas Rise (Metallica) at Whiskey A Go-Go, Hysteria (Muse) at Liceo.

I love watching these. They use various tracks to beef up certain parts, all the tracks whether it’s keys or 2nd guitar are played initially by them, and as technical difficulties are a regular feature of every band’s live shows, when their system goes down they shrug and carry on, most people will never notice. They strive for a full sound and they know how to do it. Thanks, nice reaction.

Yea their stems are things they can’t reproduce live. The click of course, piano, a crackling fire & other sound effects, backing guitar on occasion & of course Alessia Cara & Rudy😊. In the past she also ran all the lights and video screens thru it as well. They even ran Dany’s pedal board off Abelton at one point but Dany prefers to have control I think.

The Warning is 100% 🔥 Greetings from Argentina

Dany has a moonshot programed into her board, Ale rolls with most settings in the middle.😎
