1 HR Watching Airplanes, Aircraft Identification | Amsterdam Airport Plane Spotting [AMS/EHAM]

Published 2022-04-19
Amsterdam "Schiphol" Airport is one of Europe's busiest airports and the gateway into the Netherlands. It serves as KLM's hub and with that, the majority of the flights at this airport are KLM's aircraft. Featured in this video is a days worth of interesting departures on runway 36L and arrivals onto runway 06 viewed from 2 different and unique locations.

The whole day of filming was constantly shrouded with fear of when the next patch of rain will hit. Amsterdam's weather system sure is something special. From sun showers, to downpours that last hours, it's always a gamble of what you'll get. When filming some of the departures like China Southern's A380, I was dripping wet from the rain but it was definitely worthwhile!

I filmed this back in October of 2021 when I visited Amsterdam for a holiday.

Hi, I'm from Nairobi and I have enjoyed watching. Great work man Keep it up. I'm also happy to have spotted a Nairobi bound flight.

The KLM Orange Pride 777-300ER is my favorite. It very accurately depicts the temperature gradient of a jumbo jet's fuselage during cruise. Most parts of the plane very cold due to the frigid temperatures at those high altitudes, but the leading edges of the plane especially the nose get very hot due to air friction when flying at sonic speeds! A truly ingenious design IMO
  • I like your new aircraft identification its better than the old one the old one sucks! am glad u changed the aircraft identification Aviation Videography note: I really don't like to say the word "sucks" cause it kind of sounds rude for me
  • How come some of the aircraft taking off didn't have the destination on it
