The appearance of Clea fits in with the popular theory that the MCU's next big team-up will be following Marvel Comics' Secret Wars storyline. The introduction of the multiverse in Marvel projects such as Loki, What If...?, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness seems to have been hinting towards a multiversal war with Kang the Conquerer. Since it's still early days, it's unclear when and where Theron will appear in the MCU again. The actress technically hasn't commented on her role as Clea in any official capacity and she likely won't for the time being as Marvel waits for fans to see the movie before spoiling the big surprise.
Of course, the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness post-credits scene seems to directly set up the inevitable Doctor Strange 3. Although the sequel hasn't been announced yet, it seems more than likely that Cumberbatch will be returning in the future, both for another solo film and more cameo appearances. Additionally, Theron's future in the MCU seems bright. Marvel wouldn't hire an actress of her caliber unless they planned on utilizing her talents in epic fashion. Watching Theron and Cumberbatch go toe-to-toe with the creatures of the Dark Dimension is an exciting prospect and it's clear that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is just the beginning for Theron and Clea.

Here's what I want in Doctor Strange in the Dark Dimension of Clea. - Sam Raimi returning to direct the sequel because I loved his directing style in Multiverse of Madness. -The film should be about Stephen, Clea, and Wong as a trio trying to prevent an incursion event in the Dark Dimension which will lead to Dormmamu invading Earth. -Clea reveals to Stephen and Wong that she's Dormmamu's niece like in the comics. -Stephen and Clea start to falling in love with each other by the end of the film. -Mordo returns in this film as the secondary antagonist. -The Ancient One makes a cameo appearance in her astral form giving Strange one last lesson. -Doctor Strange becomes the Earth's new Sorceror Supreme. -In a post credit scene Doctor Strange takes Billy Maximoff/Wiccan (Scarlet Witch's son played by Heartstopper's Joe Locke) as his apprentice.
