carlo is my go to reviewer for the kind of games i like....short simple rules with heavy strategy in terms of gameplay not in terms of rules . thanks for your hard work and honest opinions #carlo and rest of the team...this , chairman of board and bones collector are my favorite channels... thank you again for you unpaid unbiased honest opinion

Bohnanza is a riot with my family. Some people get so bitter about trades and it just induces laughter. Great pic, Carlo

I hope you post the final “take to the cabin” list and then also do a review post-cabin!!!
  • @bushibayushi
yet another highlight of the day ;). Thank you for doing these!
  • @riotvale
Just had the chance to play Hansa again yesterday. It would definitely be on my top 25 as well

I love the back and borth of these videos. They're so much fun to watch. I'm also really happy to see Blue Lagoon getting so much love. I feel like it's kind of a hidden gem of the BG world. Can't wait for the next one.

If Agricola isn't still Carlo's #1 I'll eat my shorts.
  • @idrees1995
I love the variety with each persons’ list. I resonate most with Braiden’s type of games (simple, party game, non/casual gamers) and would love to get a top 10 list of his underrated / most fun party games. I can guess his number (Just) One!

Carlo, I play Oathsworn exclusively solo. Phenomenal game, but my biggest gripe is how long it takes to play during a work week. The standee version is perfect imo.

Bohnanza has been a hit with my family. I love hearing my kids negociate for beans 😂 ok, ok, two chili beans for one soy bean…if you also take my blue bean. Please? So silly!
  • @simplybs9311
Yall better give your impressions of Time of Empires when you get back from the cabin, I was curious about this game but there is not much out there giving me confidence to pull the trigger. As for Hansa its an acquired taste, I have had people really into crunchy board games dont get "it" and i have had some who play occasionally who would continuously ask about playing. Finally Dylan, it was like you were watching me in the audience and we shook our heads when Carlo said winter kingdom is the biggest improvement lol.

I love seeing Bohnanza so high on someone's list. I love this game and all of its expansions/variances.

Something I don't see people mention very often when discussing sushi go is that there's a very significant rules difference between the base game and the party edition. After each round in the base game, you discard the cards people drafted and leave them out of the deck. In sushi go party, you add those cards back into the deck. I actually think adding the cards back into the deck makes the game considerably less enjoyable, especially at higher player counts. You can make a lot of informed decisions about probability when cards are being removed from the deck after each hand. Losing that piece of information in sushi go party always made that game feel so much less strategic to me

Loved the video. I agree with the love for Mille Fiori! Great new game for me last year.
  • @jonathanleach383
3 dudes i could definitely be buddies with:) too bad you're in Winnipeg - I'm in Calgary Cheers fellas!
  • @twozsinapod
I tried Bohnanza for the first time this year, I think after hearing about it on your 2022 videos, and absolutely love it!
  • @codym6376
My copy of Mille Fiori is being shipped to me now. I’ll be playing at 2 with a variant I found until I can get more people gathered up. Hoping it’s good. I also have Dune Imperium: Uprising and Hansa Teutonics on the way. They may not get played much either, but I had to have them just in the hopes of good game days in the future. Buying games I don’t have the optimal player count and group is normally behavior I try to avoid, but these games got exceptions.

Love y’all’s list and and conversations! I have a question, what metric do y’all use to rank your games? I was thinking of making a excel sheet to track my stuff 😅
