  • It's cool how they aren't bounded by specific combat type . Vergil initially comes off as a speed type fighter while dante comes off as a power type but if you use both of their weapon you will notice that dante uses fast movements with the balrog but each hit done by vergil with the Beowulf seems heavier than dante's hit with the balrog .
  • Vergil is the type of guy who won't say anything after a game Dante is the type of guy who will proceed to tea bag the whole team
  • Dante: plays with his food Vergil: goes for the kill always Both of them are apex predators

Dante is style Vergil is precision Nero is overwhelming force V is the calm before the storm
  • Vergil: precise movements with no flaws that leaves no chance for enemies Dante: humiliating style to make fun of an enemy by hardly punishing them for openings they leave Nero: giving all in his moves to be sure to get rid of enemy V: bruh, I'll stand here for a while and command these two shadows to fight
  • I like to think the moves they share were taught to them by Sparda
  • @MegaIomaniac.
I love how the whole fight against Dante was like a dance

Vergil: speed and precision Dante: strength and raw power Nero: agility and reflexes V: he’s just standing there…*menacingly*
  • Basically: Dante: Focuses more on speed and style. Takes a while to kill enemies and bosses but has a lot of utilities he can take advantage. Vergil: Focuses more on power and precision, not a lot of utilities but he can kill enemies and bosses in a flash.

Vergil is that gamer that will humble you and no matter how much you trash talk, he won’t reply. Dante is the gamer that will beat you and continue to rub it in your face while tbagging you.

I just realized that both Dante and Vergil have abilities that involve stabbing themselves with their sword

Dante and Vergil are equals. Its just dantes a showman. Virgil is a warrior. Thats all. Simply different personalities. Like ryu and ken.

A analysis on how each character gameplay reflect their personalities Dante: as a depressed man whose life is filled with devastating events, he grew up beside humans, so he doesn't fully accept himself, making himself feel less than a human, a subhuman. fighting is all he does, so he has fun because he never knows when the next tragedy will happen, so he takes his time Seeing himself as a demon that doesn't deserve the same compassion as humans, fighting demons is the only thing he feels good doing, taking his life slowly but with intensity, like his attacks: slower and hard hitting This is also a result from seeing his mother saving him from his arms: I have to fight, but I'll have where to go later Vergil: Unlike Dante, Vergil couldn't see his mother's love due to how the tragic incident happened. He went through all that alone, knowing what being impotent feels like He has nowhere, neither no one to go, to call home. He's a survivor first and foremost, and as any survivor, he must be at the top Instead of coping his bad emotions with style and seeing his demon side as destructive like Dante, Vergil sees his human side as a weakness, so he has to bury the light of his emotions into himself His combat style is emotionless, calculated, and quick. Combat for him, means business Nero: the combination of magic demon powers and human technology at it's finest. Unlike Dante and Vergil, Nero didn't had any traumatic experiences related to his childhood. He only started to experience demon powers when he was an adult, so he doesn't see himself as a monster So, instead of fighting as a way to escape something in his heart, he fights to protect those he cares about. Dante has fun to avoid his pain, Vergil is emotionless, while Nero is vicious. He is willing to sacrifice himself if it means that his loved ones are safe, so he goes all in with his attacks, like an wolf protecting his cubs. Unlike his uncle and father, instead of multiple demon weapons, he has many human weapons, showing how Nero isn't struggling with his human side As he sees his newly revealed father and uncle almost killing each other, a person he admires and other who he wanted on his life, it activates the rage, the demon side thay was inside him waiting to get out, pulling his devil trigger out Although with rage, Nero heart is still filled with good intentions. He integrates the demon side of his power swiftly to his human made devices, and still has some fun in the process, because he knows his potential, and won't take everything seriously V: as the human side of Vergil, V is fragile and weak. Not only because that's how Vergil sees himself, but because that's not who he is We can interpret demon the side as a father's love: intense and made to make you strong to be on your own, but lack of subtlety and grace will make you aggressive and dangerous The human side is like a mother's love: soft and made for you to be happy and take things easy Living as an imbalance, Urizen isn't strong enough because he lacks subtlety and vision, while V lacks strength It's like V was a soft child being bullied in school V didn't had his father (demon powers) to follow and make him strong, so he weaponized his emotions, and made his nightmares into his strength (just like a child would learn from bad experiences) He keeps himself away from the fight, gaining power when he feels better by reading his book, filling himself with positive emotions, but never living his nightmares too far away from him and the crimson cloud of blood in front of him Once his bad emotions took care of the problems, he finally puts and end to it so he doesn't have to worry about it anymore

the moment it went to the dante gameplay i knew that you were a vergil main
  • @swapnil3990
Both of them have super strength and speed. Vergil mostly has the fast playstyle while Dante has power playstyle but it's clear that both can switch their styles whenever they want. Like we see Dante doing all the fast movements too, and Vergil can show hell of a power as well.
  • @ejaymond
They both use Speed, Precision, Versatility, Style and Power. Just on different levels Where Vergil is faster and more precise, Dante makes up for more Versatility and more Style. But concerning power, they're on equal levels(most likely). So in real sense, both are equal in combat. There usually isn't any definite Winner. But once you take away their Weapons(if that can be possible), and let them fight with hands and with their equal power, Vergil's Speed will give him an upper edge_____whether or not they're skilled in hand-to-hand combat.
