[Viewer's Request] Streamlined or not? Pt.2 - Feat. Nc&StL #576 Dixie, Reading T-1, NYC J3A Hudson

Published 2020-05-27
Hello club members and visitors!😎 In this video, we adapted the idea of our honorable friend, Carter Starlight: The Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railroad #576 versus Reading's famous Class T-1 4-8-4 steam locomotive! The Nc&StL 576 is long forgotten by the Trainz community, but we are happy to give this handsome engine some exposure! Both steam engines have 70" drivers, but Reading's 4-8-4 is more powerful than Nc&StL #576 in terms of tractive effort and cylinder horsepower. Noted that Nc&StL's Dixie type locomotive was beautifully semi streamlined when new, but their streamline plantings, including the handsome cone-shape smokebox door, were removed before the end of WWII

In the second part of this video, we arranged a race of the NYC Dreyfuss Hudson and the unstreamlined J3a, another performance comparison of a streamlined and unstreamlined steam engine. Note that we reskinned and added some sound effect to the 20th Century Limited consist, and reskinned the PT Tender for the Dreyfuss Hudson!
