Jodeci set a standard and raised the bar for 90s rnb groups that hasn't been surpassed since. They were so left field and iconic their style, swag, sound, harmonies, production and persona they were trend setters and everyone else followed suit even rappers duplicated their image. Even kids are named after them now that's influential and legendary 👌✌

I've been a big Jodeci fan for over 20 years and I never knew a remix existed! Man, the 90's was THE decade of fire remixes. This is back when a remix WAS, in fact, a remix. 

In the fall of 1990 I was a high school senior in NYC, I was just accepted to one the Atlanta HBCUs and the first single I heard from Jodeci was 'Gotta Love' where they all had on the hoodies for Morehouse, Spelman, Howard and Clark Atlanta, dancing in a NYC subway. It was like a celebration song for me. Then in the fall of 1991, I was sitting in the college rec room when the video for 'Forever My Lady' came on BET and me and my friends were like WOW! From the first time I heard it I was blown away ever since by this number one love song of all time. Then they just kept dropping hit after hit through my college years. Their music influenced us young cats, our style, and filled our days of hanging out in our cars and at the clubs with so much joy. One of the last songs was in 1996 "Love You for Life" and the wedding video they did. It was just before I left Atlanta but a swan song so to speak, one of success in finding love, but a perfect close to the Jodeci saga being in Atlanta in the 90s.

This song "Forever My Lady" brings me such bittersweet memories. I was pregnant with my late son and my husband played this song for me. it just brings me to tears everytime! Lost my son 11/22/2017 so my baby RIP... This song is a classic from Jodeci they were the sh*t back in the day "1984" was a hot year for them plus more. K-Ci & Jojo brought the group through with the flair, mainly K-Ci... lol Very entertaining, I love them to this day.
