Cross Country Fellowship Bible Study on Angels. In this session we studied more incidents in the Bible where the Angel of the Lord interacted with people on earth. We studied time king David number Israel and God judged him and Israel for doing this. The punishment was God sending the Angel of the Lord to bring pestilence to Israel. The result was the 70,000 men in Israel died, but David saw the Angel of the Lord and prayed that He would stop the killing. He did. We studied two incidents when the Angel of the Lord interacted with Elijah. In both incidents, the Angel of the Lord protected Elijah. Then we studied the incident where the Angel of the Lord killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in one night because Sennacherib (the Assyrian king) had blasphemed God in a very vile way. We learned that the Angel of the Lord was often very patient with people, but He also carried out judgment for wrong doing.
