It may cost the most of anything in our lives to, to fight, live and serve Jesus Christ. But it pales in comparison to what he paid for us on the Cross, for our iniquities, our Sins. Jesus Christ is the Light of the World.

I love the historical context of the watch towers in the vineyards. I am reminded of Jesus' other sermon on building your house on the sands (of human understanding) or on the rocks (of God's understanding). Back then, building a house was synonymous with building a family. You were responsible for the well-being of everyone and everything that lived in your house, including their spiritual well-being.

I also love that Adrian acknowledges the culture war BS but he rejects it and states (truthfully) that Christians are called to set a good example. Trying to legislate morality actually does the opposite, it proves to others that we only care about controlling others. We ought to show others how happy and fulfilled you can be, as a disciple of Christ, without the sin and the indulgence of modern culture.
