Tornado Destroys Starbucks in Kokomo Indiana (caught on camera)

Despite the tornado's damage and destruction, no one was injured. Eyewitness Brandon Mobley said he and others ran to help after recording the close up viral video of the tornado as it demolished the store. Mobley described witnessing the powerful twister smash through the store to reporters at the scene later in the day but said he believed they “would brew coffee again.”

That’s the type of tornado that scares me the most. That tornado was completely rain wrapped. You would have no way of seeing that twister until it was nearly on top of you!

How does a building blow over, but the cars don't move an inch? I know they have less surface area, but that just seems like a shoddy building.

As I recall, the Manager herded the employees into a bathroom. All survived.

I remember this day..but it’s funny how this randomly just popped up 3 years later lmao. Luckily the employees at chili’s were able to help

I was in my middle schools basement when this happend. Some girl was just like “OMG STARBUCKS IS GONE!” I was like yeah, okay. A few days later, I saw the ruble. Also, there were a total of 7-8 tornados this day. No one in this city really knows how many touched down. Tbh, no one in kokomo really talks about it because of how terrifying this was. Here in kokomo, we NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER have tornados. But this day was the day. 7 tornados! We all thought kokomo would be gone. (At least I did.) But yeah, long story short, everyone was okay and they quickly rebuilt that Starbucks. We haven’t talked about that day since then.

Tornado winds are so crazy. Doesn't even lift a car in the parking lot, but decimated an entire building just behind the cars.

I live in Kokomo. This tornado happened in November. Right after Starbucks it crossed a major highway and did great damage to a subdivision. I believe this was the second tornado we had in November. I believe back to back yrs. Took same track. Much damage but thank God no deaths.
