Damn, you never really know how good/special a year is until years later you’re reminiscing. Thank you for this. I miss that 2017-2018/19 era dearly compared to now. Things were so much simpler.

Damn i miss 2018 i remember just blasting lil uzi money longer song in study hall with my friends
  • With the exception of 2016, 2018 was a really memorable time, till this day I still bump juice, skies, ect. The rap nowadays just doesn’t hit anymore, and 2018 also has a lot of good memories that I still cherish till this day
  • Never considered the true value of 2018 but this video truly gave me goosebumps on multiple occasions just thinking back abt that period of time in music and entertainment. Awesome video

I’ve been waiting on the video for a while, 2016-2018 were absolutely unbelievable years not only for music but just to be alive man. I still reminisce about those days all the time and would do anything to relive them!!

Also, imo 2018 was probably my personal favorite of hip hop, mostly because I was in it since the start of the year, unlike 2016 and 2017. 2018 is probably a year we will never see again as how rap has changed a lot since. Not to mention other mediums apart from rap. I want to one day make a video on hip hop of the 2010s in total

Juice WRLD popped perc after perc and nobody said anything to his face until it was too late. They all hyped him up and told him all his music was great. But mentally he was struggling the whole time and now Juice is gone for good.

Damn I didn’t even think about it deeply how different that era of music was just because of how genuine and organic it was. SoundCloud peaked in 2018 but trust me it had been the gateway to the underground since at leasstttt 2013. This was prolly the only time in music you could find someone and a song completely unknown and 2 weeks later there big just off pure tan support. Before it was labels and cds and now it’s paying for streams/views and promotions. Shit is crazy asf to think about. Like bro I remember listening to Khalid’s “location” when it had fuckin like 20k TOTAL plays and showing my friends. A month later he’s global. The equivalent to back when rockers use to go small venue to small venue hoping to maybe get heard or seen. One week in some raggedy bar next week at the garden! Great time for music and didn’t even realize it till I see how corny and forced it is now. It’s just so hard to find good music when absolute shit is payed to be put in front of your face. Money rules it all, and paying for social media promotions and flooding people feeds is the bread and butter
