One of the all-time greats. We lost him far too soon.
-
He had to be a big guy. How else could you pack so much talent into one man?
-
Poor John. He tried so hard but nothing worked for him. He had lost 100 lbs at the time of this video, but was still 350. Heart and liver disease and an addiction to pain meds. We lost a good one here!!
-
Pinette was one of the best. Rest in peace, Mr. Pinette.

A very funny storyteller taken to soon, RIP.

Sadly, John died April 5, 2014.

He was an absolute gift. ❤ I have never laughed so hard and related to his stories. I say “nay, nay” all the time. He is so missed.

It sadden's me that I had never heard of this man until last year when I accidently came across a video of his and watched him. I nearly died from laughing. I never had the oppurtunity to watch him live.

There is a difference between being "loved" and being "beloved". He was certainly beloved. John was the sweetest, gentlest, and funniest of the main stream comedians. He never verbally attacked anyone, but he still managed to be over-the- top funny. He was very likeable, and respected for it. Personally, I miss him. A lot. But heaven is a much funnier place since his passing. I'd bet God and Jesus are in his audience for every show. First row, no doubt. With excellent food and drink. God bless this man. ❤️❤️❤️

All the salad I want wouldn't require a thimble.

I grew up literally across the street from John in Everett, MA. I saw him live and my stomach just hurt from laughing so much. He truly was the funniest person I have ever seen. RIP my friend, you made us laugh so much.

I saw him live in Westhampton...Long Island. He was great. We could not stop laughing. God rest his soul.

I think of him every time I buy toilet paper. And in honor of his memory, I buy the best I can find. RIP, you beautiful man.
