100 years of photos showing the changes in the width of our beaches in Oceanside. We have had narrow beaches even before the Camp Pendleton Boat Basin was built in the 40's. We experience narrowing and widening every decade.
We love our beaches so seeing them narrow is always dissappointing...

    If this is Oceanside, California, where was the Seahorse Inn? I remember it right on the sand.

    Nice video, John. The pic called beachside trailer park is perplexing. I guess that's the Harbor?? With little to no ocean inlet? And Im having trouble identifying exactly which are trailers but what a show. Ok, the trailers are against the bluff.
  • No beach in south O area. Tides go in and out for sure. But beaches have permanently eroded.

    When I cam to visit in 2014, there was zero sand at Wisconsin st.
