I have a B7100 it had the D750 engine. I installed a D950 Kubota in it. That's the same engine you have in the b7200. One of the best diesels Kubota ever made. There's a glow plug indicator right above the fuel gauge to the right. It glows like a old cigarette lighter when the plugs are hot. From the sound of the start up I'm guessing one of your glow plugs isn't heating. You were running on two cylinders when it started. All these little D series diesels smoke at startup, but even out. Also the design of all the D series engines use glow plugs at start up, even when its warm. Watch out when your heating the plugs, 20 30 seconds is enough to try a start, watch the indicator. Considering how cold it was it took a few times. You can burn up the glow plugs holding too long. My B7100 is a little beast. Use it for plowing nothing stands in its way.
  • Yea runs like a champ ! Replace the glo plugs and it will start easily. They are either good or bad. But with new ones you should only have to hold them on for 30 seconds.

Those Kubota tractors are pretty tough piece of machinery, Dustin. Thanks for sharing. Haven’t seen you in awhile.
  • Oh it was 7 degrees fyi! They do better than any skid steer or really any snow mover cause it’s nimble and got power! Mine has been thru a tank a day the past 3 weeks with all the snow we been getting here 45 miles from Canada/us boarder!

Just a tip, turn the key back to the glow plug side right after it starts and it will stay running.

Fun video. I have a Kubota B7200 HST that Ive had about 18 years. Great machine. Its a tough little beast. I bought a new BX Kubota. I love it but just didn't have the heart to get rid of the 7200. So I divide the work between them.
  • Mine fired up at 5 this moring to go plow like I do everday. Hold that glow plug for a while and Huber her some throttle and she will fire! Mine is the exact same and I do snow removal all winter in north Idaho very year with it and I can’t kill it! Also have my fuel screw turned out a bit!
  • Just a note!... put your battery on a rubber mat and keep it off the concrete floor.

Hey bud my Silverado exhaust needs to be replaced from the cat all the way back. What brand exhaust system would you recommend? Looking for stainless and not super loud
