Thank you Babbel for sponsoring this episode of Deep Dive where we continue our Dark Side of The Disney Channel series by diving deep into the world of The Cheetah Girls.
The Cheetah Girls were the first musical DCOM paving the way for High School Musical, Hannah Montana & Camp Rock. Girl Power was the theme of The Cheetah Girls but behind the scenes it appears it was anything but rainbows & sunshine.

Letâs be honest raven and Adrienne vocally carried the group. Sabrina and Kiely were there as filler.
-
Omg the opening makes me wanna see an Aly and AJ deep diveâŠI have to know why their careers never took off like it shouldâve đą
-
The fact that this is STILL one of the most diverse moments in DisneyâŠ
-
Kiely saying that Adriane was never her real friend, when Adriane was the one who recommended Kiely for the part of Aqua, is unbelievable đ if it wasnt for Adriane, no one would know Kiely
-
Ugh Solangeâs management fumbled so hard. She should have done Cheetah Girls and then released her solo debut later down the line. You can tell they werenât expecting The Cheetah Girls to be as big as it did.

You guys are destroying our childhood and we love it This is actually great. We grew up being naive thinking certain career paths are perfect. This is revealing that no matter what job you have be it teaching, doctor, acting, engineering. Toxic environments exist. And being the best at your job doesn't not guarantee your life will run smoothly. Thank you for taking away the naiveté.

DYING at the fact that Raven consistently refers to Sabrina as DORINDA in contexts where they're obviously NOT talking about the character
-
Raven made the smartest move by not wanting to tangle her identity up too much Cheetah Girls as a girl group. Itâs hard to break out of such a childish image. Look at the measures Adrienne went to with the leaked photos, and Kieley is stuck in the past and virtually has no career.
-
Kiely has always proven to be a source of drama and chaos.
-
The way raven was looking in that live with Kiely I can tell she was sparing her. Raven was looking at her like âdonât push me and Iâll keep it cuteâ đ
-
Raven was an actor that just so happens to sing. And the others were singers who just so happened to act. I can see why there would be some conflict there.

I think the thing I liked most about the cheetah girls when I was a kid was that, Dorinda and Raven werenât tooth pick skinny. As a kid I started gaining weight when I turned 8 and it really affected me. Seeing girls that were around my size made me feel a little healthier!
-
As a kid I loved seeing a group with different people. They reminded me of the Bratz dolls because each Bratz was a different race. I loved having the diversity because it felt like each doll was unique and pretty, unlike barbie that mostly looked the same.
-
People like Kiely never see the error of their ways.
-
Rob Kardashian in his prime saying he just wants to go home and watch cheetah girl movies while Adrienne was away is everything, I like her
-
Solange's record label aint shit for depriving us of her role in cheetah girls đ Can you imagine where they would be if Solange was Aqua?!
-
Honestly, I wouldâve preferred Solange over Keily. Her voice wouldâve been strong enough to even be the lead đ€·đŸââïž

It is fascinating how the casting people saw Adrienne and Raven have that chemistry and friendship which translated in real life. Even in the original movie, Chanel and Galleria were a duo and added the other two later. Chanel even said they will have an apartment together, not with the other girls. So that actually would fit a sequel movie if they do one now.
-
I think a large part of the reason why kids loved cheetah girls was the diversity, and the fact they could sing and dance was a cherry on top.

You GOTTA pay attention at the fact that everyone was able to make up and apologize for their parts in controversy EXCEPT for one personâŠ..when youâre the person, youâre the problem
