When I was a child: Which box cover legendary looks the coolest. When I was a now: Whichever has the cooler looking exclusives.
-
gen 1:Screw yellow get red or blue (or FRLF like a sane person) Gen 2-4:Just buy the enhanced version 5-8:idk just buy the color you like more

The best part of Scyther was he learned the move where you couldn’t drop a Pokémon below 1HP which made him clutch for catching Pokémon IMO.
-
Mawile is useless. Mega Evolution: I'm gonna build this man's whole career.
-
"Persian was a top tier pokemon" Me:So that's why Giovanni had a Persian.
-
Ho-oh holds a very useful item, if all your Pokemon faint, it revives all team members and restores there stats. Basically a mobile Pokemon center.
-
Also a very minimal difference, but worth mentioning: Ho-oh can have a held sacred ash when caught.

Michael: “I’m only covering Gens 1-4” The video: Is tagged #pokemonswordshield

Shiftry vs Ludicolo: "Ludicolo is easily superior here" Happy Ludicolo dancing on the background music with Miror B.

For Kyogre vs Groudon, Groudon is at least a great ground type to add to your team. You don't need more water types, and you might be attached to your current water type, like Swampert, Gyarados, Tentacool, Lanturn, Pelipper, Wailord, etc

This would be a cool guide to have back in the early 2000's. I always pick the version that has colder hues to it's coloring
-
According to this, I literally played the "worse" version EVERY TIME. lol
-
"Virtually everyone's who played a Pokemon game has had to choose between one version of another." Laughs in Gamecube side games
-
Kyogre also gets to combine its weather boost with STAB, making its waterspouts truly devastating.
-
Good call choosing Bastiodan over Rampardos. Something to keep in mind is that having a Pokemon with great defenses can buy you time to heal your team back up if you have sustained heavy loses.
-
Back when Red & Blue came out, most of what is considered common knowledge now, we didn't know at all. I didn't know you got to pick from the same 3 starters in both games - I just knew I wanted to use Charizard, so I picked Red version, because I assumed that was the one with Charizard.
-
Michael: We will not include enhanced versions specifically yellow, crystal, emerald and platinum as they r the better games IGN: gives ruby and sapphire 9.5/10 Gives emerald 8/10
-
When you were comparing Vileplume to Victribell with petal dance and Razor leaf for Red and Blue, its also worth noting that what you were saying later about speed and high crit moves in gen one also applies to razor leaf. Even not that fast pokemon would get insanely high crit rate with razorleaf.

What I Chose- -Fire Red (Didn't play RBY) -Crystal (and Heart Gold) -Emerald (and Omega Ruby) -Platinum (Didn't play BDSP) -White -Black 2 -Y -Sun (and Ultra Moon) -Sword -Scarlet
