This man turned my health around and he’s never met me - huge debt of gratitude to Dr. Berry
  • @RCaugh
I figured this out long ago. If heart disease is climbing dramatically and so is statin use, something doesn’t make sense.
  • @satvinder564
Medical schools should recall all their doctors and give them a refresher course on cholesterol to maintain their licence to practice.

I admire Dr Berry's courage in calling out the American Heart Association for its stance on demonizing cholesterol without any credible evidence.
  • My mom's cholesterol results came back as high. She was prescribed some meds but decided to give a go to low carb diet instead. As a result in 4 weeks her cholesterol normalized. She is 73.
  • One question I've always had about cholesterol after reading about it's function in our bodies is this: How is it that every person needs the exact amount of cholesterol in their bodies regardless of size, sex, ethnicity etc? Who came up with the number of 200 for total cholesterol? Thank you, Dr. Berry, for all you do!
  • My doc proclaimed I'm no longer diabetic 2 weeks ago, but she's still worried about my cholesterol. Quite awhile ago I took one cholesterol pill and was so sick, I never took another pill. My blood pressure has always been on the lower end of normal. I'm 69yo. I'm focused on my gut health. I don't take any prescription drugs. She's always telling me not to research my health issues/prescriptions. haha I cured my diabetes through my research and you've been a major part of it. Thank you.

Yet, I'm supposed to trust my cardy. I took a statin for 1 month and had tremendous joint pain. I discontinued it and the pain went away.
  • @petercyr3508
If high LDL were the THE cause of heart attack like they say, then heart attacks should have been eliminated decades ago when statins came out. Not just reduced, eliminated. Instead, lowering LDL literally has no effect. Heart attack rates going up.

My father was part of the AMA Cholesterol study. He never had a total cholesterol below 200 until he was over 80. He tried everything from diet and exercise to drugs, nothing made a difference in his Cholesterol levels. In his 80’s, due to a bad lead on a stress test, he was subjected to an unnecessary angiogram. After the procedure the cardiologist literally asked him “Doc can you tell me why we just did this angiogram”. It was then they discovered the bad lead problem. However, the interesting part was when they reviewed the angiogram they could find no significant changes. The cardiologist stated he routinely sees 30 year olds with worse CAD than my father had in his 80’s with life long “dangerous “ cholesterol levels.

Thank you so much. Did a blood test recently, all my markers are great apart from my cholesterol. Been on keto since January 2020. I’ve lost a lot of weight. I’ve made a lot of changes. My health has massively improved. I’m not concerned. This is the healthiest I’ve been in decades. 👊🏾😉

It's about being an informed patient. But be respectful in educating them. If this won't work then fire them. I have, it's your life.
  • @panamafred1
I'd show this chart to my doctor, but I haven't seen him in 40 years.
  • @j.m.8864
Years ago I knew a very old large and tall man who always had cholesterol around 300-350 and his doctor wasn't concerned because it was normal for him. The good old days. That was after we found a doctor's hand written prescription for a young child's cold that included whiskey and honey. I wish those times were still here. Thank you so much for all your work Doc!
  • @ambujkn
Really tough to find true doctors these days who are unbiased. Thanks to Dr. Berry for being truthful and bringing out the true facts. 👍
  • @orver1
In April of 2021 when I started carnivore and OMAD, my BP was 148 over 90. Since then I've lost 80 pounds, and yesterday it was 116 over 64. I'm telling EVERYONE I know about this.
  • @nickychops6729
This is damn criminal that I had to find help that actually works on YouTube instead of my actual care provider ! this has got to change! This is absolutely unacceptable how they do not to this day understand Cholesterol and diabetes. Thank God for people like Dr. Berry
  • Five years ago before my heart event, (double stent put in my ADL with a 99% blockage) my total cholesterol never got above 187. The problem was my HDL was in the high 20s and triglycerides in the 160s, not to mention 70 pounds overweight. Since I’ve been on keto, I total a cholesterol stays around 229 but my HDL is in the mid to high 60s and my triglycerides are 75 to 80. Every test since going keto is wonderful except for total cholesterol. I refuse going on Staten drugs. However at almost 67 years old, I feel great and a lot more active. Thanks Doc
  • Thanks Dr. Berry, 43 lbs down after following you! I’m not keto but low carb. My husband has also lost over 40 lbs. Our Dr. has been trying for the last 3 years to get us to take statins for high cholesterol. My husband’s cholesterol has gone done but mine has gone up. We’re still not taking it, thanks again & God bless you for all this great information! 💪🏽🥰😘
