Waiting on God’s Promises | Grammy Nominated Songwriter Mia Fieldes

Published 2023-09-29
After years of battling disappointment in dating, Grammy-nominated songwriter Mia Fieldes began to expect mediocrity. But in her mid-30s, she felt God call her into a new mindset of radical hope. To her surprise, God rooted this hope in the promise of a soon-to-be-revealed, “custom-made” husband. Not only did God fulfill this promise, but He has since made other promises – all of which have seemed impossible and all of which have nevertheless come to pass. Through Mia’s story, God has proved Himself a faithful and capable promise-keeper, as well as a loving Giver of good gifts.

Mia Fieldes is a Grammy award nominated songwriter originally from Sydney Australia. Having written for and performed in the album recordings released by Hillsong for many years, Mia moved her craft to Nashville USA where she has continued her passion to write songs that inspire people with hope and faith. Some of the songs written by Mia include ‘Christ is Risen’, ‘Peace Be Still’, ‘Fierce’, ‘Tremble’, ‘Yes I Will’ and no. 1 radio hits ‘He Knows My Name’, ‘Chainbreaker’ and ‘First’. Mia divides her time writing music for film and television and collaborating with some of today’s top Christian artists, including: Michael W. Smith, Francesca Battistelli, The Newsboys, Meredith Andrews, For King & Country, Zach Williams, Paul Baloche, Matt Maher, Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe, Passion, Jesus Culture, Bethel, House Fires, Lauren Daigle and The Belonging Cø. Mia lives in Nashville, TN with her Husband Joren. They both serve at The Belonging Cø.

Love the testimony. I wish I had the discernment that Mia has. I have struggled for 20+ years to have a relationship with God, and am now in a situation that has caused me to lean into him more intentionally than I ever have. Since that started, I feel like he has spoken to me at least 3 different ways about the same topic, and they are all pointing in the same direction. However, since I don't feel like I've ever heard God speak to me before, I am questioning whether or not these are really promises from Him.

    This was beautiful 🤗🤗🤗🤗
  • This woman has great testimonies, I can tell the Lord is with her, I also like her song Fierce. But do not be deceived concerning this one matter, she said “I believe in counseling “and all that stuff” and she said after to the effect of, “but she believes the Lord is the Wonderful Counseler” I hope when she said she believes in counseling and all that stuff she meant Christian counsel. People of God, please listen carefully, do not be deceived by psychology, psychiatry, and humanism, and any variation of those. All we need is Jesus Christ, His Spirit, and His Word. The idol of humanism and psychology, and seeking sanctification apart from God’s way through His Spirit and Word is idolatry. His grace and power is sufficient. Lord Jesus, continue to bless Mia and her family and your Church.
