15 hours of Spanish Listening Practice — From morning to night!

Published 2022-02-16
Wouldn't you like to be showered with the Spanish language all day long? This video is about 15 hours long, so you can create an environment where you can continuously practice your listening comprehension when you are awake. You can concentrate and practice or just let the sounds go in one ear and out the other when you are tired. Through continuous repetition and not giving up, you will train your ears to hear the English language.

At first, short sentences are the focus. Over the second half, the degree of difficulty gradually rises.

This listening series consists of recordings based entirely upon the "human voices" of native Spanish speakers. A majority of listening practice videos, which imitate ours, use synthetic voices. However, for listening practice via synthetic voices, there are many instances where a liaison is unnatural. Thus, we do not recommend such a method of listening practice. For liaisons in the Spanish language, listening to a natural human voice is the most effective method of listening practice.

Man I had this on while sleeping and in the dreams I had a really tough time. Imagine being in a Spanish speaking country by yourself without knowing the language well. I didn’t know who to trust. It was like a survival thing.
  • Please do not change the style. This is called Spanish listening for a reason. If you put the text first it defeats the purpose of training the ear to listen in Spanish which is the hard part. It's challenging but worthwhile. Thanks for making this video.❤

I am Japanese. I'd like to study both English and Spanish. This education material is very good for my purpose.
    Thank you so much. Gracias.

This is perfect for people who are having a hard time falling asleep.

I love listening first, that tells me how exactly to pronounce it. Often the words flow together and if I read it first then I would tend to stick to the words individually. So please do not change it.
  • I would have appreciated one more time to listen before being shown the answer, however, this forces me to listen intently and distinguish each word. I could be wrong, but I think this will be excellent for learning phrases, and ultimately conversations. I also think being spoken at normal speed is also great. The background is not distracting, and the emotion and inflection matches the words. Thanks for the many more hours that it took to make this 15 hours. What a great listening exercise.
  • I really like the way it's set up. Listening, speaking, reading, comprehension all in one. Thanks

This video is exactly what I need. My listening is not good, I need to hear things 2 or 3 times in a row before I can understand it. Then they give the English, and one more time in Spanish... Perfect. I hope there is more like this
  • I love this not having anything written as it gives me a chance to practice hearing the phrases before any writing comes up. Finally a listening practice!
  • I love this concept helping me with listening and than making sure I understood what is being said. This is perfect for my level . I know a lot of words My problem is when its is spoken fast I can't comprehend this is putting my brain to the test to pick up on what I know . Any phases I didn't get I wrote them down.

Does anyone else think the English speakers voice sounds a lot like Katey Sagal from Married with Children? And this is very nicely done. Thank you for your effort.

P.S. I am an advanced learner, but I also use it for speaking aloud since this has always been my issue. Reading and writing seems easier to me. For me the goal is to be able to hold conversations with virtually anyone. En mi humilde opinion, se necesita hablar, hablar, y hablar.

Excellent format. Slow and repetitive. Helps a lot! Thanks!

Me gusta mucho, gracias for el esfuerzo. I'm a Chinese trying to learn Spanish and this is perfect for me to improve the listening part gradually
  • ive been listening to this every night for some time and when you study and read aloud it truly helps the most. good luck :) have fun learning
  • I speak Spanish, is my mother lenguage. I'm learning English. 😊
  • @jayeandre6987
This is very helpful as a listening exercise. It would be even better if inflection was used so listeners could differentiate between a sentence, a question and an exclamation.

Excellent video. I am now using it at double speed in order to really challenge my listening and comprehension skills. As well, I use it for vocabulary and conjugation. So, It cuts the 15 plus hours down to about 8 hours.
