Super Mario Odyssey is an Incredible journey of a game, but all good games must have an ending, and it turns out Mario Odyssey has four of them. Nintendo has created a game with multiple endings in an attempt to reach as many players as possible, and in this video I will explain what each of these endings are significant and unique.

  • Imagine that after that final ending music plays a message pops up and it says “level one completed”

Imagine calling yourself a completionist not buying all the outfits

Nik: Getting 12000 coins requires a lot of time. Luigi and his balloons: Allow us to introduce ourselves edit: imagine perfect grammar, cringe wait did i edit this wtf

The fact that Nintendo is so down with multi-skill players make it so much more impressive. It’s less about achievement of finishing the game and more of, everyone gets to enjoy. That really makes me respect them. Well done, Nintendo.

Ok but if the top hat gave you one more power moon to get you to 1000 that would’ve been so much more satisfying

"You are given one last pin for Cappy to spin on, and when you do, this happens-" ad plays

The fact remains this is what a REAL gaming experience is supposed to be like. Feeling the emotion come over you as you work towards each ending… and crying tears of joy when it’s over

124 Moons: The best finale song in any Mario game alongside a humorous moment with Mario, Bowser, and Peach - roll credits. 500 Moons: Two difficult challenges that end with a heartwarming message from Cappy while you climb a replica of New Donk City Hall. 880 Moons: A secret final bout with Bowser, amped up to 11, plus a commemorative postcard at the end - roll credits. 999 Moons: Literally just a top hat on the Princess' castle.

They didn't think of one more type of player. One that's completely insane. The player that goes for the true max number of moons. 99 from each kingdom shop. And I have an idea for the reward. A picture of Shigeru Miyamoto holding a stop sign.

Fifth ending: “Get a life” Buy all costumes (don’t use amiibo) and get to rank 50 in balloon world.

“You are given one last pin for Cappy to spin on and here is what happens...” - Arby’s commercial

During my first playthrough, I made it to the second ending. When I played through the game a second time, I did absolutely everything and got the final ending. I got every moon, I maxed out my moon counter, I got every purple coin, I bought every outfit, and I ranked level 50 in balloon world. The thing is though is that when I started that playthrough, I only planned to reach the first ending before moving on; a mere re-experience. But I got so hooked that I just couldn't stop. Every ounce of that 100% completion run was fun and when all was said and done, I still wanted to keep playing! No other video game has ever made me feel that way. I loved Breath of the Wild, but I will never collect all 900 koroks. When I play my favorite game of all time, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, I still don't do the hard mode or time trials. Super Mario Odyssey is so special because of this distinction.

"One last pin to spin around. Then this is what happens-" cuts to an ad about skin care.
  • @Sb129Gaming
I like how replayable Super Mario Odyssey is, It has a fantastic endgame
  • @Howlingburd19
Honestly the ending speech with Cappy was super heartwarming :) “We’ve come a long way, you and me... We’ve seen a bunch of different kingdoms... I mean, sure, we got shot down and stuff along the way... But think of all the HATS! This trip was really amazing. Thank you, Mario. It’s been an honor walking a mile on your head.” 10/10 game right here! Edit 2023: still a 10/10 game

As someone who grew up obsessed with Mario 64, and then Mario Sunshine, Mario odyssey was everything I could have ever dreamed of and more. Such a great game 😊
