  • Fun Fact: The Pantaleone Restaurant is still open and with high praise, this shows that the owner listened and took what Gordon said to heart

2024 update: Pantaleones is still in business and now has a 4.7 star rating. Great to see they took the advice to heart and kept with it.

Fun Fact: My ex-wife was pregnant with my youngest daughter at the time when this episode aired. We couldn’t come up with a great, unique name for her but when I watched this episode, I finally found the perfect name. I named my daughter after the waitress, Celestina

I'm so happy to read in the comments that the place is still open and the food is good. I noticed the absence of Chef Ramsey trashing out the kitchen organisation, which means they were doing a fantastic job in the department. The real issue was the food. The family seem like such nice genuine people that were truly greatful. One of the best episodes.

Paulette: "Pete, you're my husband and I love you" Pete: "I disagree with you"

I can’t be the only one curious about what the Thick Crust Pizza would look like right?

The one common factor on Kitchen Nightmares is owner arrogance.

The random clown on the wall has me cackling 😂
  • Unlike 81% of restaurants that failed after the show, this one is still open and the food is good!

as a greek, Him not working on sundays because he wants to watch football or take a nap is the greekest thing , like , ever Guys this is a lighthearted joke, don't take it so seriously 🤣
  • I think the key to what has allowed Pantaleone to remain successful after this episode aired is that Pete WAS a great cook in his day, but his own confidence in his ability ironically blinded him from changing with the times. This was Gordon Ramsay's way of teaching an old dog new tricks. Really inspiring and encouraging that you can always return to greatness at any stage in your life.

Doctor: “You will die in 3 days” Pete: “I disagree with you” Pete is now invincible Me: “I have 11,000 likes” Pete: “I still disagree with you”

One thing I've learned by watching these: If you want to know what's wrong with your restaurant, ask your servers. They know.
  • When his son cried, made me cry. He sounded so frustrated that he knows his dad he loves just is so stubborn and will sink them all. And then Gordon takes them to Vegas, I mean that's him also being a family therapist for the father son!

Judge :I sentence you to life in prison Pete: shut up Judge : okay
  • @marzeanly
Celestina has to be one of the nicest waitresses ever
  • Guy: "It tastes like cat food" Gordon: "Where did you try cat food?" -------------------------- Gordon: "It tasted like shit!" Me: "Where did you... "

“His heart was in the right place but his mind certainly was not” That’s something I think everyone goes through & struggles with. That hit home for me. Loved this episode, don’t watch this a bunch but my niece instantly knew what it was when she walked into the kitchen 😂
  • This is the most wholesome episode in Kitchen Nightmares history!!! I wish Pete and his family all the best 🥰🥰
