The daily is the shoe you wear every day, so it has to be comfortable, durable, and easy to put on. My pick is the Yeezy 700 for its versatility and quality.
The beater is the shoe you wear when you’re expecting it to get dirty. It should be affordable, durable, and easy to replace. I use And1s and Notwoways shoes as my beaters.
The fancy is a shoe that can be dressed up for special events. My pick is the Ecco Ral7000studio sneaker.
The substitute is a versatile shoe that can fit into any category when needed. My pick for this is the Jordan 1, a shoe that can adapt to any situation.

adidas superstar's are a very good beater, skateshoe, etc that will last and last and imho they still look dope when beat. especially trip black or black with white stripe/sole/toe continue to clean up everytime.
