It's a typical thing in games when they team you up with a another character and they don't want the other character to steal your thunder. It's a bit dull, would be more fun to do a Gimli vs Legolas thing. Only since you're Batman there has to be a reason why you lost the count. Like Tim accidentally hitting an innocent because he was trying to hard versus when Batman wins and he doesn't hurt the innocent. Because HE'S BATMAN.
