Cornwall Storm Compilation Video

Published 2022-02-03
A collection of some of the best Cornwall storm video I've collected over the years from my favourite storm watching spots around the Cornish coast.

The film starts out fairly subdued with some scenic shots of rough seas at the Crowns Engine Houses and Kynance. After this we ramp things up with Porthmeor beach in St Ives and Newlyn before heading over to Godrevy - don't be fooled by the sunny skies - these waves were huge.

The rest of the video is full on stormy seas and gale force winds. Some good splashes at Penzance, huge swells at Porthleven and monster waves at Newquay's Fistral beach. Then it's back down west to the drama of Porthcurno, Land's End and Sennen Cove for some massive splashes!

The final few shots are of Portreath which looks almost apocalyptic as mountainous seas batter the harbour.

très belle video ; il me semble que la Cornouaille est une région magnifique, même pendant la tempête

5:15 that is such a beautiful little town right there and it’s so close to the ocean what a great spot to live looks cold and gray that’s a brutal coastline when there’s surf that big

The power and relentlessness of the sea is frightening. Can’t even try to comprehend how frightening it must have been the night that the Penlee Lifeboat, Solomon Brown, had to put to sea to try and rescue the Union Star. Everyone perished . RIP
