Published 2014-08-29
This is a one only car that I built because I really like retractable hardtop cars. It runs on electric actuators.

Now that man is a dedicated Ford fan...the craftsmanship of that trailor speaks for itself

I took a 10 minute nap. When I came back, the top was still retracting.

It's impressive and ridiculous at the same time.

I sat watching and realized I hadn't blinked for over 5 minutes. Fantastic workmanship, totally unique.

Yeah, props to the guy for engineering everything, but for the love of god, speed up the freakin' actuators, man!
  • Dad and I restored classics until 2yrs ago when he was diagnosed with cancer...I showed this to him yesterday. He said let's open the old shop again and build one. You created a one of a kind Sir...very impressive..bet you get some heads turned as well.

Hope it doesn't start raining. Interior would be ruined by the time you got the top back up.
  • I love this car. It looks so vintage and futuristic at the same time. Awesome

I have never been more impressed in all my life for the imagination, creativity, and skill to have accomplished this!

I’ve built many cars over the decades. I know how much work is required. This takes the whole damn cake! I just couldn’t fathom the engineering and effort this took.
  • This is like watching paint dry! Good to know it was sunny out that day and not have one of those fast approaching storms we get every once in a while.
  • This is one of the moments when you think your car is not moving but actually it's moving...

the good part about old videos like this being recommended now, is that i can actually use the speed up function now lmao

I'm a Chevy Corvette guy from those days, but the 63 is one of the best looking Falcons ever. Then this genius invents this. Fantastic, I'm almost jealous!!!

Have to admire a man who dreams for something and then builds it. Beautiful job. Thanks for sharing.

This one is an awesome conversion. I had a HS friend who bought a running 63 Falcon as his first car (1985) for like 200 bucks and ended up spending 300 for new tires and a jack. Of course his 'friends' jacked up his car and hid the tires from him. :)
