History shows bad things happens when culture has no separation of religion and state!
  • Anyone who listens to this should study the Spanish inquisition and knows what happens when you start making laws about the Bible

If the bible relates to US history then why the did Fox interview a pastor and not a historian?
  • Why is this not a part of the American history class instead they wanted a separate course? Our founding fathers understood the danger of a religious government which is why they wrote religious freedom in our constitution

Why don’t you just bring back the witch trials while you’re at it?
  • Freedom of Religion is being destroyed. Sue for you rights to practice your religion. It's unconstitutional. Your prejudice and bias to other faiths

Thank god for SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!🇺🇸🤷🏼‍♂️

I'm an Agnostic Republican voter, and I think teaching any form of religion in schools is wrong. What we need is teaching American and World history, which is turning into a thing of the past. What about Islamic students?
  • Backwards. I hope they enjoy this little stunt. I don’t even believe the Supreme Court will be stupid enough to push this.
  • The First Amendment provides for freedom of, and freedom from, religion.
  • The issue comes up when high school graduates wander off to neighboring states with a religious indoctrination, no critical thinking skills...and a sidearm
  • Actually, separating secular society from the bible is interwoven with the founding of the United States. If you don't understand that, you don't understand U.S. history.
  • Oklahoma had a poverty rate of 15.7% compared to the national poverty rate of 11.5%, leaving the state with the 8th highest poverty rate in the country.

“The purpose of separation of church and state is to keep forever from these shores the ceaseless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe in blood for centuries.” James Madison.

Church can't dictate policy to civil government. Civil government can't dictate Doctrine to the church. That's what "Separation of Church and State." means.
  • I'm against this. You cannot mandate religion indoctrination. Religion should not dictate laws. It's not right to force someone to follow any religious beliefs. Thank goodness I teach my kids to think for themselves.

So, math teachers have to teach the Bible? Ridiculous.
