Watching the other live feeds one shows the increase in steam over the area prior to the eruption about 30 mins prior you see basically a "fog bank" start developing on the line of the fissure to come.

Last night I was watching The Eath Master and he said Grindavik was having swarms of small earthquakes and right them, a Breaking News report said the volcano had erupted. That's not much notice, but as long as there is inflation and uplifting, there's a chance of eruption. I knew it wouldn't be long due to the uplift level raising up to the previous eruptions levels. Just because it goes quiet, doesn't mean it's not building pressure. It's just catching its breath. This volcano has woken up on its regular cycle. It's not going to stop. This blast was the biggest yet. Be safe everyone. Being evacuated from your home is the worst situation. My Heart goes out to the People of Grindavik.

This eruption is beautiful and scary at the same time. Thank you for covering this event.

I was just there last week! Wow! We were warned at Blue Lagoon to be ready in the event of an evacuation.
  • I appreciate your coverage. I look to you for what's happening in Iceland. Be safe. God bless.

sadly many people drop off when YOU are "NOT" covering a Volcano eruption. If they follow you on your vacation trips also, it would help your channel a lot . 😊 You going into the Blue🔵Lagon and carrying your camera in with you was interesting. 👌

Thank you from USA for your coverage. I enjoy your narrative information and the way you describe your video. Very interesting but heartbreaking for the locals. Take care everyone.

Amazing how quickly this eruption started! Pretty explosive! That SO² gas is pretty corrosive and definitely not something you'd want to breathe in! The pollution from it is known as vog for volcanic fog in Hawaii. People there have had to have special masks if they were going to be in an area heavily producing it. All the best to everyone there!
  • ❤💙🙋Hi Dagon Dag! I hope everything is good in your Country:Iceland, now after this nature disaster. My best regard from Brazil.🌎🙋

The cloud will emit enough to burn your vegatation- just like it was in Sudbury Ontario Canada up to the 80's from mining.

That would make an awesome background for a Viking fighting scene!
